My family and I just relocated back to Fort Wayne and we are looking for a pediatrician and/or family physician! We are also open to knowledgeable chiropractors. We need...
Morgan M. replied:
My recommendation would be Dr. Pandian with Parkview. She is pro parent choice and super friendly. She is the only physician I've been to who I felt respected my choice.
Kelly M. replied:
Dr Joel at New Life Chiropractic is great. He studies best practices and shares all kinds of health tips every visit.

Kendra L. replied:
Dr. Veerula is great if you aren't comfortable signing a vaccine refusal form. Unless mullally recently changed again he requires you to sign his form, not make any changes, etc.
Laurel M. replied:
Dr Mullulay at Credo family medicine.
Alyssa N. replied:
Dr. Pandian is amazing for our kids. Dr. Mike O'donnell at Back in Action Chiropractic is who I see for pregnancy related issues. He isn't a fan of vaccines and said he sees a lot of vaccine injured kids.
Kimberly B. replied:
Veerula. The dad is a pediatrician and the son is an integrative dr. Also Dr Andrew Mulaly is not holistic but is very respectful of differing views. Chiropractor: Dr Dustin Sherman at Chiropractic Sports Medicine. He has helped me so much! Including with my TMJ, spine, neck, and everything else!
Lizzy S. replied:
LOVE Dr. Sarah Schlie! I've been seeing her for years and she's by far my favorite doctor I've ever seen. She has never pushed for vaccines.
Suzanne W. replied:

Beth L. replied:
We see Austin Schlie. You have to speak to him though. His office staff will tell you they require vaxxing. We've been there 3 yrs and never had an issue. Dr Veerula is also a good one. He is very anti vax friendly
Jennifer M. replied:
We go to dr. Veerula at Jefferson pediatrics and love him. He was he First one to connect the dots on things with my daughter and chooses the natural way First. We are super thankful for what he’s done! And my dad is actually a chiropractor. He studies constantly and is very knowledgeable. Dr. Lyonhttps://www.facebook.com/682155661849184 s Aboite Health Center . Welcome back to Fort Wayne!
Leanna T. replied:
We really like Dr Mullally.
Ashley H. replied:
Agree with dr. Veerula. He is holistic minded and pro choice on vaccines. He suggests natural methods to treat things before antibiotics. He’s also the WIC office so be sure to tell him you are holistic so he can switch his mindset to that. I bypass going to his office a lot by texting him and asking for advice on what I should do. He really is a great doctor and passionate at what he does. He deeply cares for his patients and not out to make a buck. If you make an appt make it to see him only. We love Dr Nagel with True Wellness chiropractic. He’s seen both my kids since birth. When my son was a month old I took him to him for this first time because he was constantly crying. He found a dislocated shoulder from birth that the hospital never found, even when we paid a specialist to look at his arm. He popped it back into place and he finally stopped crying. He also found torticollis which he fixed in 7 weeks. He’s awesome with kids. Good luck!
MoMo M. replied:
Dr. Mullally at Credo family medicine. We love him! He has worked with us through our delayed vaccination schedule. We had a sit down with him prior to our daughter being born and just told him what our thoughts were and he listened and acknowledged our concerns. Every time we go in for appointments he is patient and really listens to me and my thoughts. We love him!!!
Any suggestions for a pediatrics chiropractor in the Fort Wayne area? Looking into taking my 2 year old daughter who has reoccurring ear infections from about 11 months...
Amy N. replied:
Office # is 444-2080.
Lori M. replied:
I don't know from experience how quickly the problem could be resolved, but I do believe they'd do their best about getting you in ASAP. I think Dr. Nagel sees new patients on Mondays and Wednesdays; Dr. Josh Bell is also in the practice, and he might be even easier to see on short notice. Give them a call with any questions at all: 444-2080
Kirsten L. replied:
If you need a second option. Check out family chiropractic center. Dr Gary hopkins. Small family run practice for 25+ years.
Ok a few questions?... We are considering a move to Fort Wayne area in the next couple of months. We are from
Massachusetts and just wondering how do you rate Indiana?...
Kevin S. replied:
Hannah Ruth Elizabeth Slater!!!!
Hannah S. replied:
Dr. Stroud at Fertility and Midwifery Clinic is the best known in the holistic community as far as ob's. And we personally see Dr Veerula on the southwest side as a pediatrician. Birth Matters would be a good place to utilize as well.
Katie B. replied:
For a family doctor check out http://credofamilymedicine.com. Ive heard that he is very flexible with vaxing and is definitely big family friendly.
Megan A. replied:
Janis Chrissikos Cnm is a fantastic home birth midwife who has a large family of her own. I have 6 kids & I would say it's pretty commonplace especially if you home educate. Lots of big families! There is a large doula network and you can find them here on Facebook. Search for Doula Network of Ft Wayne and it should pop up. I see Dr Holly who believes vaccines are a parental choice. He isn't a pediatrician, but a family doctor who also happens to have a large family.
Jessica Z. replied:
Extremely family friendly city!! "Big Small City" Love Dr. Stroud, Dr. Sarah Schlie, Auburn Birthing Center and Doula Network. LOTS of family events all year round, lots of homeschooling networks, last winter was amazing! The 2 prior were snow-mageddon. Never know.... Price of living is amazing!!
Michelle L. replied:
Dr. Stroud!
Janis C. replied:
I have 8 children and have lots of friends with 6+. I'm a homebirth Certified Nurse-Midwife. Www.earthenvesselsnurse-midwifery.com We moved to FW in 2006 and love it. Very family friendly, affordable, big homeschool network, lots of doulas, plenty to do with kids. We see Dr Rexroth in Auburn if needed. He has 8 kids and they homeschool. Dr Chase in his practice has 10 kids and homeschools. We also like Dr Mullally in FW. He has a growing young family and was homeschooled himself. Indiana is a really easy state for homeschooling.

Alecia M. replied:
Hi! We have a doula network that is a wonderful resource. http://www.doulanetworkfortwayne.com/
Jennifer L. replied:
The midwives at Auburn OBGYN are wonderful! They practice a little north of Fort Wayne and have a stand alone birth center as well as Dekalb hospital. I also love Dr. Rexroth in Auburn at Dekalb. He's a family doctor not a pediatrician but he's super relaxed about vaccinations. At my son's first appointment he asked what we planned to do about vaccines and that's the only time it's ever come up! I know a family with eight kids who goes to him and loves him too.
ATTENTION ALL FORT WAYNE FRIENDS, we are in need of a pediatrician for Liam, comment for a recommendation. We tried Pediatric Associates but they will not take him...
Patricia S. replied:
My kids see Dr. Rauchenstein at parkview first care on new vision drive by parkview regional medical center, but I've been told by alot of the nurses I work with that Dr. Dick is amazing
Felicia B. replied:
Dr. Barb at Parkview is who Heather Bellis and I took our kids to.

We have Dr. Tallo as well......he is amazing!
Cody E. replied:
X3 on Dr. Barb
Olivia K. replied:
I've been given quite a list but not all are accepting new patients, Dr Barb, Dr. Sarrazine, and Dr. Bohnke are accepting new babies through Parkview as of now. Some other pediatricians are only accepting if siblings are current patients. They're Pediatricians/Internal Medicine.
Austin B. replied:
If you want to drive a little, both of my boys go to Dr. Mark Souder and they do take Medicaid. He has his own practice at Dekalb Health
Can anyone recommend a good Naturopathic doctor for infants? Why did you like him/her? Has anyone felt naturopathic doctors were more helpful than pediatricians? Or do...
Kristina S. replied:
Dr. Rick also does muscle testing. He uses contact reflex analysis to let the body tell you what it needs in terms of nutrition.
Brittany G. replied:
Dr Hougendobler in Huntington
Arlene M. replied:
Marie Heimann yes he treats infants. He has treated ours. He uses drops which can be placed in the infants mouth or can give the drops or supplements to the mom if she is breast feeding. As far as how he tests the infant, he is able to use someone e lse's arm who is holding or touching the infant. The nerve electrical current will run from the infant's body through the other persons arm. He then uses the reflex points on the infant's body.
Arlene M. replied:
Karina Forero Runkle the initial exam is $70. Follow ups are $45, plus the cost of supplements.
Kristina S. replied:
We see Dr. Rick Harkenrider at Health and Wellness Chiropractic. My son has been seeing him since birth. He gives gentle adjustments, recommends supplements and also homeopathic remedies. We don't have a pediatrician. It is unnecessary for us.
Arlene M. replied:
www.nutritionalmuscletesting.com Off of W. Jefferson Blvd. 459-6160 Great for infants who can't tell you what is wrong.
Looking for a holistic children's doctor in fort wayne. Got a sick baby, please help!
Amanda K. replied:
The only peds doctor that is also board certified in holistic medicine is Dr. Veerula. He does same day for sick kids even if not already a patient.
Carmen P. replied:
Yes Ashley Alexander Leff it's called Dr. Mom:) we're completely holistic/homeopathic unless a Dr is an absolute necessity. After 5 children, I've learned that if you have a completely healthy child, a Dr is hardly ever needed for the majority of ailments. I would prefer to keep my child at home than to bring them into a room full of sick kids and germ filled toys just for an unnecessary well check. However I stay abreast of many new ways for natural healing for our entire family and health. We pay more for grass fed beef, range free chicken, raw or whole food supplements, raw milk, minimal processed foods (majority of meals are made from scratch, no boxed or frozen meals), raw sugar, no fast food etc... Health begins with the food you feed your family. Knowledge is power. You can either pay a Dr for the rest of your life or know how to take care of your body and heal it naturally! Not sure that will help lol!
436-7722 is their office phone. His address is 3919 W Jefferson Blvd. :)
Shay C. replied:
Dr. Veerula is horrible!! Please stay away from that facility... I had to report them to the health department. If you are okay with a small drive, Dr. Kueber is an amazing holistic doctor and he's located in Garrett.
