Considering Lasik eye surgery. Would anyone be willing to share where they went, experiences, average cost? Thanks!

Just had mine November this year. About 1 month ago. It was Dr Rom at Lasik plus in Wexford. It was quick and easy. I can see really well. Things are still not totally clear. It was around 3400 for both eyes with my insurance discount. What you pay depends on how severe your eyes are.

I went to LASIK Plus! Dr. Rohm did mine almost 10 years ago. It cost about $2800. I got 0% financing if paid in full within 12 months. That was with my insurance discount and astigmatism in both eyes. I still have perfect vision. He was fantastic! It was worth every penny I paid for it.
Jamie H. replied:
Dr. Hartman did mine 18 years ago and it was@$3000 then. I ended up with the halo side effect and have a hard time seeing it drive at night. But it was still worth it for me and I would still do it again.

I had lasik done 3 months ago by Tlc Laser Eye Centers Wexford. Dr Green at https://www.facebook.com/122546301098934 Eyecare Greengate was more than professional and answered all of my questions prior to the procedure. My surgeon, Dr Zambelli was a pleasure to work with and I had clear vision that night about 6 hours after the procedure. It was painless and I wish I would’ve done it sooner. I am extremely satisfied and would recommend lasik to anyone interested
Looking for a good eye doctor who performs lasik surgery. Please share your experience with lasik surgery. Thank- you in advance.

Looking for recommendations and your experience regarding LASIK surgery. Truth be told I don’t want to do it but my eyes are getting progressively worse, and does it...
Jamie H. replied:
Dr. Hartman Sr. Did mine 18 years ago. I do have a side effect of seeing fuzzy halo’s around lights at night. BUT I would still do it again

I was told a few years ago that I have an eye shape that would not lend itself to LASIK surgery. The ophthalmologist wanted me to know it because not everyone is a candidate.

I had lasik done last Friday at LASIKPlus and it’s absolutely amazing! I have perfect 20/20 vision. It gets blurry at times but that’s due to dry eyes, I just put some drops in and I’m good to go! The price for me was about $3500 total for both eyes with guaranteed financing. Dr. Rom was awesome, he’s done over 20,000 lasik procedures. I have bad anxiety/phobia of my eyes being touched but he made sure I was relaxed and able to follow through with the procedure. I was able to drive myself to my follow up appointment the next day. I only took one day off from work. My consultation was free and They supplied me with all of my pre and post surgical eyedrops. My best advice is if you suffer from allergies at all, make sure you take an antihistamine every day until your eyes are healed because it will relieve some of the itchiness/blurry eyes which will cause a headache. Hope it all works out for you!

I got mine done last January at the Lasik Vision Institute on McKnight Rd. I was seeing 20/20 by the time I left and I see better than 20/20 now. I would absolutely do it again because it gives me more freedom! You have to be sure you're a candidate though.

I had mine done at Hartman Eye. I loved it and wish I did it sooner. My eyes were very dry afterwards for a couple months. They prescribed me a eye drop to use after I was done with the initial drops. I still have great vision except I need glasses to drive at night bc of the glare.

My husband and I both got ours done about 10 years ago at Hartman’s. Best decision we ever made. No problems except the older I get I do need reading glasses which Dr Hartman had told me I would need with age

Helen B. replied:
Dr. Hartman Jr. and Dr. Cody Hartman Pelllis Rd in Greensburg Dr. Hartman Sr. is also a fine dr. but the sons do the surgery and they are both wonderful and can and will recommend someone at eye and ear in Pittsburgh if necessary
Who has had lasik surgery in the area that they would heartily recommend?
Sandra B. replied:
My husband had it done at TLC in Sewickley. Dr. Whitten was his surgeon. Highly recommend him- mind you this was a few years ago so you'd have to check with them to see of he's still available. He would only fly up from D.C. a few days a week. He has done a lot if big name clients so we felt very comfortable with him. My husband was a hard case but he was able to do RK on him.
