Julie R. replied:
Dr Tom (Burnett) at Legacy Medical Center in Irwin is awesome!! I’ve suffered from migraines for as long as I can recall and he’s the only one who has helped. Good luck!
Mikehla D. replied:
Yes, another option would be CBD (sorry I am having some brain fog today). I use CBD for my headaches and joint pain and it has been better than the 60+ medications I’ve been on. I sell CBD at Palm Beach Vapors in Irwin, and we carry oils, creams, pills, and edibles. Feel free to message me for more information
Sherry L. replied:
I used to see Dr. Catalano in Greensburg, and had a series of Botox injections for my migraines, which helped immensely. On the downside, his office staff at the time (this was a few years ago), were the rudest I've ever encountered. Try keeping a food journal. I've found that monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a trigger for me. My husband can't eat chocolate.

Carol E. replied:
I suffered from migraines my whole life not knowing there was a medication that stopped them. What works for me is Sumatriptan 100 MG Tablet. Your family doctor should be able to prescribe it for you. I hope this helps.
Sarah C. replied:
I see Dr Marrero, and have since 2002, he has worked with me and though I still get migraines I am on Maxalt and if I take it as soon as I feel it coming on i never get bad. I have 12-15 migraines a month and have been able to manage them. I also have found eliminating as much processed food as possible and exercising, with good pre and post stretching, has helped a lot.
Michelle N. replied:
Get off medications and help your body heal itself naturally. Dr. Martin Gallagher at Medical Wellness Associates Jeannette.
Holly B. replied:
Have you tried Dr Carlos Marrero? He is an excellent neurologist in latrobe
Caroline S. replied:
If you're not a fan of the botox, you can also do nerve blocks. I did my first round, last month & so far, my headaches haven't been as severe. As far as a neurologist, sorry UPMC Headache Center has been the best solution

I also get near daily headaches and suffer from migraines. Chiropractic alone did not work at all for me but paired with regular sessions of trigger point therapy it helped quite a bit. Jeff Lutz in Greensburg is fantastic.
Alana D. replied:
I had been having them and FINALLY found my way to help by way of a chiropractic neurologist. It turns out I had a long-term concussion that had not healed. I am a certified aromatherapist and could only get minimal relief with my profession in Essential Oils. I used magnesium, supplements and meds. Nothing helped enough. For the first time in YEARS I have relief from 3-5 days of migraine per week. I am now down to one or two a month! The treatments were painless he is an expert and I cannot say enough good about Dr Bill Shine at Shine Innovative Wellness in Greensburg

Nickers N Neighs has therapeutic riding (also a very long wait list). STAT does hippotherapy so it's actual therapy sessions like PT/OT/speech therapy. I've been actively looking into riding and these are the 2 that were recommended most frequently.

Hey Everyone I am looking for some recommendations around this area.

Lynn Z. replied:
Dr Nicholas J Senuta has helped many kids with ADHD...no meds either!
Nicole R. replied:
I would recommend getting a best practice evaluation for possible BHRS services.... and I agree try family behavioral resources. The latrobe office combined with the Greensburg office in early February.
Annie L. replied:
My step-son has both ADHD and ODD, as well as a host of other issues (high functioning autism, depression, anxiety, anorexia, adjustment disorder with disturbance of mood and conduct, and anti-social personality disorder-sociopathy leaning). He has seen a therapist and psychiatrist at Kreinbrooks in Greensburg now for 4 years and there has been little to no improvement. Just prescriptions. So, in short, following because we could use the help, too. I love the chiropractor idea, as well as Dr. Nick Senuta, but that is out for us as an option, as many children with issues like ADHD, ODD, and Autism prefer not to be touched. Good luck to you finding the help you're searching for your son!❤

Look into family behavior resources, their main office is Irwin so there would likely be a trip there for evaluation but after that they have a satellite office near Hempfield Parks, I know it's a bit of a haul from Latrobe but worth it, I used to make the trip from Mt Pleasant cause I couldn't find anyone else I was comfortable with
