Dr. Adrian Clayton, Altoona PA. My partner had a complete shoulder replacement 1 1/2 years ago. They had to switch out the ball for polyethylene piece, cap the cup, pin it, and attach with a rod in the arm bone. Only do so many of this extreme type a year. He did a wonderful job.:)

The best ortho in all of Westmoreland and Allegheny county is Dr Gregory Flynn Habib I would not recommend anyone else he did my dad shoulder who tore his rotor cuff in 5 places and just did my mom who broke her shoulder in 4 spots and tore her ligament highly highly highly recommend him 412-207-9780

My husband just had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago at UPMC Sports medicine in South Side complex. Dr.Albert Lin was amazing and explained everything to us. There were two different surgery options and he helped us decide which one would be best for my husband. My husband had a serious labrum tear, rotator cuff issues (and broken humerus) from trauma.

Dr Rodosky did mine at upmc southdside. Not a great talker but a good surgeon. More importantly get the best Rehab. And do it exactly as directed. No weight bearing means exactly that. I'm a nurse and have seen many failed surgeries and the docs mention it's the scar tissue So talk and get the best PT person and then follow the directions. Good luck

Dr. Rodosky! I had a failed surgery by some doctor in Somerset (can't remember his name) and was still in a lot of pain. Seven months later, to the day, Dr. Rodosky had me in the OR repairing the damage the first doctor never even touched. Shoulder has been fine since. He's done 3 rotator cuff repairs on me now and I've been beside patients from other states. I can definitely agree with the above comment about listening when recovering . I didn't with my other shoulder and pay for it daily. I'll need a 3 rd surgery on it eventually.

Defiantly Dr. Gregory Habib he did my knee replacement, wrist surgery with a plate and screws (which was mistreated by Dr. Jennifer Erdos), and a nerve bundle in my elbow ... will never go anywhere else!!!

Dr. Haffner did both of my mom's shoulders, one while she was in her late 50 s n one at 66. He was wonderful. She healed completely from both with no issues...

Dr. Ritigiano good surgeon but if your not recovering well which happens. Dont go there. I have had a hell of a time. And it has not been good lets just say! His Pa pam and staff are wonderful tho. But im 6 months out and having a horrible recovery not saying he did it wrong my situation waa very different. I just have alot of damage. And he just dont have alot of patience with me . first two visits after surgery great but because im not one of his normal healing patients we have had some issues. Back surgery can really be iffy and not everyone heals the same!

I had the other shoulder done 9 years ago at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh. She did so much of a better job, Orthoscopic, much less trauma and post op pain. I'm in PT now. She is really good!

UPMC Sports Medicine. I won't go anywhere else after what happened last year with a local "doctor". Unneccessary surgery on my daughter, which only made her problem worse. This same doctor insisted I needed a knee replacement at 41, sought a second opinion and thank God I did! Otherwise I too would have gone through a serious, life altering surgery that isn't needed. I highly recommend UPMC Sports Medicine. They have several doctors there, each specializing in certain areas. They work with local sports teams, so you know they know their stuff!

He was the only doctor after visiting four who found my hip fracture that was in a rare fracture area. Also.. I went to ER.. After my first knee surgery the ER doctor asked me who did my knee replacement surgery.. I told him who and he said. He's a great doctored he's highly recommended.. And he said my incision for replacement looked amazing at three weeks... And.. Everyone in the waiting room always says.. He good.. He'll fix up up... I've always hear someone telling another patient how good he is

Depends on what type of ortho you need, some are specialized in different ortho Dr. Ryan Flanigan did my ankle, excellent doctor takes his time with you and makes sure it is right. I also had a severe ankle injury that required surgery the nurses said I had the best and I truly believe it. Hiked all over Utah on the ankle he put back together less than a year ago and never had a problem.

Dr Bisignani is great!!! He does not just push pills or go for a surgery that is really not needed. I don't just trust him with my problems but also my kids. He helps with my arthritis, my 8 yr olds broken arm, 15 yr old sons bad knees and daughters fractured ankle. Highly recommend .
