Just don't go to Michelle Woods. She's a little money hungry. Denied me a ovary removal while I was already open on the table. My surgeon called her in to take it out and she said no. She wanted me to come back to her and spend more money on another surgery. I love Doctor Doug Moffat. His dad needs to retire.

Dr Wood scared my friend to death .. Made her feel stupid .. Insisted that the medical history she was giving her was incorrect .. Like why would anyone lie about a bad family medical history .. I prefer a male gyno, so I never went to her .. Just passing it on .. Douglas Moffett is my vote!

The Womens Centre for Excellence in Clermont (I have BCBS also) all women. This place is very, very nice and everyone is great. Almost doesnt feel like a dr office. 352-241-6460

Just do NOT go to Michelle Wood@Lake OBGYN .. She had my friend, who is afraid to go to the gyno, in TEARS after her appointment .. I recommended Dr Moffett, but she wanted a female .. Bad decision .. The doctor was rude to her and she didn't explain anything she was doing or why .. We tried to move her over to Dr Moffett for the follow up and they said they couldn't change doctors for a follow up .. She never went back

I went to Dr. Hjort, she isn't with OBGYN Associates anymore, but Dr. Wood there is REALLY nice. All of the doctors, nurses, and front desk people are so nice! Couldn't say nicer things. And they do take BCBS!

My gynecologist is Dr. Lauren Britt (in practice with Drs. Alan and Douglas Moffatt and Dr. Michelle Woods). Lake OB with offices in The Villages and Leesburg. Both offices are near the hospitals. Dr. Britt and Dr. A. Moffatt just did several surgeries on me last week (I was discharged Thursday) and I really recommend them. Dr. Steepy is still in practice and booking out a long way. I don't know her but she was highly recommended to me, also.

She is with Villages Health Specialty group that is next door to the Sharon Morse Building. They still take insurance other than The Villages plan because they are a specialty group.

I go to Dr. Michelle Wood too. She's very good! Some Dr's who have two practices (TV and Leesburg) are only "open" certain days. That might explain the closed down look.

Dr Steepy is great, she really listens and her nurse practitioner is good too. They are with The Villages Specialty group which takes insurance other than The Villages plan as well.
