Dr. Sotelo at community health centers in Leesburg. i absolutely adore that woman and she's gone above and beyond for me.

I agree Dr. Cheas. He has an office in Tavares and we drive to that one. Don't really care for the NP in the Leesburg office.

Dr. Uson on Dixie is good. And I really like Dr Frank's with Leesburg community health on first street in leesburg. Dr Frank's is my granddaughters Dr for 8 years and he is really good however sometimes it's hard to get in. So Dr uson I also use he is pretty sharp and easier to get in on short notice

Dr Tan he is wonderful my son loved him he was handicap and would not let just anyone touch him. He gave me his number so I could reach him anytime I needed him great Dr

Dr Chaes at Silver Lake Pediatrics. He is wonderful!

Both my kids see Dr. Chaes. We mostly see his PA at the Tavares office for there routine check ups. Which is fine. But if there sick or I have concerns I ask to see him!

My son used to go to Lake Peditrics and he sat Annie. She was great. But then started to see Carlsen he misdiagnosed my son and he had to take unnecessary meds and then he was over medicating him for a different issue! Now we go to Clermont Pediatrics. Very thorough docs! But whatever you do don't take your child to Lake Pediatrics!

Melissa Banks nailed it!! The office staff is useless with the exception of one person who has been with Dr Carlson for years. But she doesn't deal with the public who comes in for appointments. I'm not bashing Lake Pediatrics - I've been going there for 10 years +, but I'm saying it is going downhill fast.

Please wherever you choice do NOT go to Lake Pediatrics in Mt. Dora! To make a very long horrible story short my 4 yr old son is laying next to me right now recovering from emergency surgery because of Lake Pediatrics! We have gone there since he was born bc we heard great things about them. And for the first 3 years they were but in the last year the have gone down hill. When you make an appointment it's never the same person seeing your child and if you say you only want to see one the front desk staff is rude as can be! My child has had infection after infection and they keep putting him on a nebulizer, told me it was asthma even told me my son had ADHD because he repeated himself. Well took him back to the doctor because he was getting worse, had matted eyes and black rings in his eyes. They had a new lady working who told me nothing was wrong with him. 2 days later when he showed no improvement i took him to urgent care. Turns out he had conjunctivitis, double ear infection in both ears and tonsillitis. They tell me it's cleary his tonsils and told me u needed to get him to a ent doctor asap. i called lake pediatrics the do not refer me instead make us come in for a appointment with the head "doctor". They send him for a sleep study,blood work, and say they sent for the ent. Well thank God above i didn't trust them and made all the appointments myself if not my i don't know what could have happen. Did the sleep study last Saturday, Sunday they call me say my son us has extreme obstructions and he stops breathing every 2 mins they need to get him on cpap(breathing machine) so we set it up but see the ENT first. We got to the ENT at 9 am@9:20 my son was being prepped for emergency surgery bc his obstructions were so large and bc he had so much fluid on his ears that he had hearing loss. tomorrow will be 1 week since he had surgery Lake Pediatrics has not even called to give us the results of his sleep studies!!!!! I'm so thankful God told me to make the appointments. Btw: i called them to in from them n to ask why they didn't call. Dr. Carlson who owns told me himself " I didn't see it to be a emergency so I put it in his chart for his next follow up".!!!!!!????? We had no follow up! So please don't go to them!!

This is a matter of opinions. You need to see what works best for you. We saw Dr. Elliott until my oldest son turned 7, then tried Tan one time only due to our bad experience, then Cheas for 6 years, and we are now with Albino. I would have stayed at Cheas' office, but his NP is horrible and misdiagnosed and caused my son more problems that landed us at his ENT because she had no clue what she was talking about.

352-435-6699 is Dr. Frank's number... he has always been amazing with my son, he takes his time and doesn't just throw medications at him for no reason. He doesn't over use antibiotics.

Dr. Franks. He's been my kids dr since they were born. Been going there for almost 8 years. hes very through and is excellent with my kids.

Melissa at Excel pediatrics number is 352-508-5176 and she takes medicaid also

Dr. Tan I wouldn't take my dog to. Horrible bedside manners. Saw him one time and that was enough for me. Told my son he was fat and would always be. My son is 14 6'1 and no where near fat. My son ran out of his office at age 7 crying his eyes out. Never in my life have I experienced such a thing. Dr. Cheas is great if you see him. His NP now is a idiot. She is the reason we left. We now see Dr. Albino in the Villages and she is absolutely wonderful. Also, there is Dr. Cheas old NP Melissa who runs a office in Eustis. I'm unsure of the practice name she is though, but she is the best!!!!

Dr Michael Baker!!! No wait - super patient care. My son went to Dr Carlson since birth (he's 11) & I recently changed because Dr C has cut back on his hours - he's also in his 70's & had major surgery in December. Also on my last two appointments I waited 1 1/2 & 2 hrs respectively. He's a great Dr, but Dr Baker@Mt Dora Pediatrics has shown me what I was missing all these years while dealing with Lake Pediatrics.

Carey.. That's excel pediatrics... My older kids saw her when she was with Dr Chaes ... I love her

Melissa Kelly is wonderful. Wish it wasn't such a drive for us or I'd go to her. She was a blessing with my youngest and always always getting us to the right specialist for his problems.

I am hearing a lot of Dr. Tan so I will definitely check it out..

Lake pediatrics. They are amazing I always take my daughter to see miss Annie she is the nurse practitioner. Dr Carlson is the head dr. I have BCBS so I'm not sure what other insurance they take.

Dr. Sotello in Leesburg at Community Health Center by parking garage (downtown) she even called to check on my son with bronchitis on a Saturday when he had been seen the day before

My son loves him as well...been taking him there Since he was born..he will be 5 in December. ..his staff is great...and Dr. Cheas has always been on point with my son...he even called me at home one evening to check on Billy when he had a weird virus. Love that office!

im close to Umatilla but I wont mind driving if I have a good doctor.. and its Medicaid through United Healthcare

Dr. Carlson I believe his assistant Casey is great with my grandkids.

I love Dr. Franks and Dr. Sotello. Have been using them for 10 years now. Both of them are very caring and not once has either of them dismissed any concern I have had no matter how small. And on more than one occasion when I felt slightly silly for being concerned I have been told that being a mom I know my children best and if I think something isnt right then chances are there is something wrong.

Dr. Soto. Tavares across from waterman. She is the only pediatrician in that office. Great with the kids. She sees kids all the way up to the age of 17 (I think). She was my daughter's pediatrician until my husband decided that we needed to be going to a family doctor.

Monkey's dr retired so the Sumter Health Dept in Wildwood is now absolutely useless. Can't do anything but OB appointments now.. dont know why they just dont get another dr in there

Dr. Locke sees my son since he was a baby. His office name is urologic advantage or something like that. He's in Ocala though.

My son is going to the Pediatrics for Urology in Orlando. They are awesome! Dr. Franks referred him there, he too is awesome

We were referred to Dr. Elliott back in the early 90's, for as long as I can remember has always taken pictures of the kids. His wife is either the receptionist, or office manager, she is very rude to those who have medicaid.

Dr. Alex Uson is compassionate, self-less and goes beyond measure for my son. We love him.

Dr Chaez in Leesburg on professional drive takes medicaid aka united health care. He is great.

Love dr.chaes, never saw Dr. Elliott but when I Was referred there, the receptionist was so rude, multiple times of trying to set up an appointment and I even caught her In a lie, figure if the receptionist is that rude and crazy my kids don't need to go there. But dr.chaes is amazing, he is into more natural methods also and isn't into giving meds for every little thing, which I appreciate !

I'm not sure about medicade... But we go to NorMarie Albino in Lady Lake and we love her! We've had to go several visits in the past 2 months because of a sick baby and man 'O man she is a patient lady lol. Very understanding and gives her honest opinion about things. Very sweet to our baby.

It's a small yard sign that says Leesburg Pediatrics. But it's the building inside the fence. Adrian the PA is excellent with the kids. Very funny and makes the kids feel comfortable.

Dr Afzal was my pediatrician when I first moved to fl. He is now my daughter's Dr and I absolutely love him. She was a preemie and I wouldn't trust anyone else!

I love Dr Afzal!! He is always prompt and attentive, I don't wait for hours like at my old peds office. He even gave me his cell number when my son got sick in case I needed to reach him on the weekend.

Dr Cheas is AWESOME

Dr Blake in Eustis sees kids he is a family doctor. Very nice compassionate and doesn't believe in covering things up with drugs. When my son was having acne and wanted a perscription he told him he needed to eat right and get sleep.

Dr. Elliott's office charged, yes, charged my daughter in law $20 for copies of the children's shot records! Can you believe it?

Back in the 80's my brother who was 4 or 5 at the time had severe asthma..he needed to be admitted to the hospital he was so sick..but Dr.Elliot refused to admit him because my parents insurance had lapsed. A few hours after leaving the ER and being denied admitance my brother collapsed and wasn't breathing.. he had pneumonia.Thank God he survived! Dr.Elliot is an ahole.Just my opinion.
