We talk a lot about different doctors that we've used on that page and also there is a bi-weekly meet-up in the Donelson area. Real nice folks over there. I see Dr. Poonam Somai at St. Thomas West. I know that's on the other side of Nashville, but she's the best rheumatologist I've ever been to. I have Lupus with Fibro, diastolic heart failure, COPD and some other things to complicate the mixture. She' s able to keep all of my stuff straight without her head spinning around, which I've actually caused a couple of doctors to do.. She's British but educated here in the States.

Like you, I have fibro and other stuff, including orthopedic issues. Dr. Batson group is the one I trust! Wish I still lived close enough but may be looking into figuring out how to work my schedule and go back (I live in Clarksville ).

Any of the doctors at Hermitage Primary are fantastc. I see Dr Gaston, and very, very seldom have to wait more than a couple of days to get in.

My primary care Doc for last 15 years has been Thomas Dinella at Summit. I love him as he takes time to really listen to me and he does not rush patients in and out. Always quality time with him.

Best primary care doctor around is Annie Cole-Bradley at Cole Family Practice off Andrew Jackson Parkway 615-874-3422. They are all caring, kind, supportive and actually listen to you AND hear you!! Truly the best around!!

Dr. Marcus Owen, he's out in Murfreesboro. He's been very good with working with me on my fibromyalgia and diffuse connective tissue disorder. I was in so much pain he actually took my case the week before my 18 th birthday, as he knew I couldn't wait.

My hubby goes to Dr. Marcus Owen at the Murfreesboro Clinic...love him! He has done alot for him and has improved his quality of life.

I work at Murfreesboro medical clinic in radiology and have heard nothing but great things from Dr. Owens patients that come down!

I have been visiting Dr. Owen at Murfreesboro Medical. He diagnosed the RA when others could not figure it out. He has been very easy to talk with

Not sure if you've ever tried Dr. Eli Steigelfest. From my experience observing him as an RN while working at St. Thomas West, I found him to be very thorough, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. His patients adored him -- many had been to multiple rheumies, only to find him to be the one who 'finally' figured out the best treatment for their illness. His patients say his initial intake appointments get taken very quickly, but once you're in the system, things go smoothly. I believe he's now affiliated with Vanderbilt Rheumatology in Franklin. Also, he has a fabulous NP.

Dr. Stephen J. Kim at Vanderbilt Eye Clinic in Franklin is renowned for his treatment of uveitis. Not sure if he sees patients, does research, or both? Are you also being followed by a dermatologist? Usually, most severe psoriatic arthritis patients are followed by a team of doctors -- especially when the case is as severe as yours. Best of luck to you.

I can tell you not to go to Dr. Chinratanalab, Sallaya at Vandy. My primary sent me to her because I was having active Lupus rash. She proceeded to tell me that she didn't think I had Lupus without doing any blood work and seeing on my records I have had at least 6 ANA Positive, speckled; titer >=1:160 results every time. And she said she thought it was some sort of metamorphosis light eruptions. (light sensitive) Duh! That's lupus LOL! Than, I had an appointment with my Dermatologist 2 weeks later. He did another biopsy and came back as Lupus. I told Dr. Boyde about what she'd said and he just shook his head. I'd never go to her because that's a very ignorant thought process for a Doc.who specializes in Rheumatology. You'd think she know's if you've had multiple positive ANA's and all the symptoms active for more than 20 years. You pretty much have the right diagnosis. Si steer far from Vanderbilt. I'll keep watch and if you find a good one I'd love to know myself ;-) But Dr. Boyd has been more knowledgable and has treated me just fine for 20 years so I decided I didn't need a rumy anymore. The one I had in MA was AWESOME. I wish he was in Nashville.

You must go see Dr. Meadors in Nashville! It takes months to get in and you have to be referred but Mom has sent many to him and everyone is very pleased! I think I still have your phone number and I'll text you his business card.

I go to the Vanderbilt Rheumatology Clinic. I see Dr. Myers. Wonderful group. I spent 2 years with one here and found out that I was misdiagnosed. I have a friend who sees the same doctor. She is pleased too.

In BG, the best one is Dr. Pansaria...or something like that. She's the one I go to. She's okay, but I wish there was someone else I could go to.
