If you're nearing needing to care for an elder, or even help someone else, I highly recommend the caregiver support group at HELP's west campus, the 1st Wednesday of each month. I think it starts at 10 AM (call HELP and they'll tell you). There are lots of really lovely people that come and share how they're coping with caring for others, mostly demetia/alzheimers patients. I attended when first facing caring for my parents and it was invaluable. Their situation has improved and I stopped going, but when you're on a steep learning curve it's priceless. There are other caregiver support groups that meet at the Continuing Care Center behind the hospital, but I haven't attended. Good luck.
