Interpreters are bound by confidentiality laws. Anything said in that group would be private and the interpreter or really you can explain this at the start of therapy. The interpreter is a facilitator of communication who is a licensed professional with a code of ethics, not some random person off the street. If they insist on not providing an interpreter then I would contact the Disability Rights group number I gave you before (on another post). Express the urgency of the situation. Absolutely ridiculous.

I don't have any recommendations in this area, but props to you for getting the help you need. The initial step of realizing you need help and reaching out to someone can be the most difficult part of the therapeutic process. I hope things get better for you! I have a feeling they will :)

I use Dr. Jeter at APG (http://www.apghealth.com/) for depression and anxiety, he's really great. He's a psychiatrist though, so you're going to get meds which might not be what you want. Good luck on finding someone who works for you! And congratulations for seeking help, it's a big step and an act of true bravery.

The biggest thing I can recommend is that you might not find the right one the first time. Finding the right MHP for you can be a challenge, but it's the best thing you could ever invest your time in.

Betterhelp is online counseling it's $45/week and they offer discounts based on financial need. I'd personally rather see some one in person but that's a relatively cheap option. Contact United Way online or via phone at 211 and they can help you find someone.

Meegan is usually the one handling them and is super nice and good at working with your needs. They work with Dr. Ellis's office (same building) if you need medication, so there isn't a lot of back and forth between different offices.
