Good morning Ester. I am an independent life /health /wealth insurance broker. As the other previous comment suggested insurance is for the unexpected, unanticipated, and in some cases catastrophic loss. It is a personal choice. Check out the Dental School at Lincoln Fields. Less expensive alternative and you are helping students learn. It may take two visits.

Also as far as West end goes, I'm in Kanata - Dr. Kyra de Gouw is my dentist in the farm boy plaza on hazeldean and Dr. David Dick is my eye doctor in the Kakulu medical building. Both great, had them forever.

You could try Dr. Tripp in Hampton Park plaza. I've been going to him for15 years
Naomi W. replied:
I second Dr. Tripp. He is a very kind, gentle and patient doctor. I have a rare eye condition where I was born without oil ducts and he has to pop them open and that hurts so unbelievably much so I squirm a lot but he is as gentle as possible and waits each time for me to be ready.:)

There are all of the above proffessionals at the Eye Institute at the Ottawa Hospital. My neurophtamologist was Dr. Patel, (I think he's no longer there) but the Dr. that took over did a follow-up and he seemed very throrough....keep in mind it is a teaching hospital so you see interns etc too. http://www.ottawahospital.on.ca/.../Programs/EyeInstitute

Dr. Zackon I believe is back in Ottawa, I also had gone to the Montreal neurological institute a few years ago for a second opinion for optic neuritis, which has now resolved..good luck.
