Affordable...not in my experience but I went to go see Karen (https://www.tracgroup.ca/our-team/karen-giannandrea/) last year and while expensive, it was covered by medical insurance, and she was a great resource for adult stuttering. As a college student, do you receive medical coverage through the school or your parents? Sorry if this doesn't help.
dumpydame replied:
Not able to recommend anyone but I have seen health professionals not covered through my insurance and when I explain that I am a full time student and ask about sliding scales they usually work to accommodate. Sometimes it means spreading sessions out over longer periods of time but usually everyone just wants to help.

I'm a recent university grad, with a stutter as well. I used to go to these people (link below) when I was younger, and they are amazing. I still have a stutter today in certain situations but definitely not as painful as before, because of them.

They are located in Orleans, not far from the Place D'Orleans bus stop. I definitely recommend contacting them and seeing what the available options are for adults. I specifically went to Susan (https://thespeechpeople.ca/about-us/) and she was amazing. I still use the tricks she taught me, today. All of the speech pathologists are great I can imagine though.
It's not covered by OHIP but this is what they said under their FAQ on pricing:
"Many private insurance benefits cover a specific amount for speech and language services. Please check with your insurer to find out if you have coverage for speech and language services."
Feel free to message me if you have any more questions, I'd love to help. I know what it's like to go through schooling with a stutter and how it can control your actions and judgments.
Good luck in your search, I hope you find a place that can help :)
