I just received a letter saying that Dr Karen Coleman (endocrinologist) is leaving the Nanticoke Physician Network on Dec1.
I was previously a patient of Dr Anita, until...

I moved here from PA year and a half ago and had a hard time finding an endocrinologist. I finally got in with Dr. Boxhill in Lewes, but it took nearly a year to get an appointment, and I had to return to PA in the meantime for quarterly appointments until I could see Dr. Boxhill. He seems good - he actually took me off one med and changed dosage on another, and I feel great!
Donna K. replied:
(From Scott)I dropped Boxhill after a few different issues with prescriptions and scheduling. Dr. Madisi is great but she’s in Milford. No great endos in Lewes or Rehoboth.
Robert F. replied:
Dr Boxhill is great got. Me off of insulin and have been off for over 3 years.

I just saw Dr. Samaneh Dowletshahi ( Dr. Sam) yesterday! She is new with Beebe. Office is in Millsboro. 302-648-7999. She is extremely thorough. Loved her!

Can anyone recommend an endocrinologist who treats transgender patients who is taking new patients? Dr. Madisi is not taking new patients. Thank you!
Tim C. replied:
Call Delaware HHS. I read they have a program at the Wilmo prison so they probably could point you in the right direction. Or here. http://transcaresite.org
I'm so bummed. I just found what looks like the perfect endocrinologist for me, and then find that she has moved from Lewes to New Jersey. Are there other local...

Billie C. replied:
Dr. Coleman in Georgetown is my husband's doctor and she seems really good.
D R. replied:
Dr. Anita was my doctor as well. Does anybody know why the sudden move?
Teresa F. replied:
She was amazing!!!! We had just found her a few months before she left!!! I tried Dr. Medisi in Milford but did not like her at all. She did not seem to even understand anything that Dr. Anita had done so I would not recommend her but I would LOVE to know the answer you this question as well:)

That happened to me with Dr. Raguwanshi. I'd look in other areas.
Kerry S. replied:
Dr Padilla in Seaford and he has an office in Georgetown- I drive from Lewes area - in my opinion, he is better than the one I went to in Lewes.
Tamra F. replied:
Dr. Nira Madisi is in Milford.... I've had 2 visits and she has been wonderful to chat with and takes her time with me. You may have to wait just a bit to get in to see her. She is at Bayhealth Endocrinology in Milford.
Moved to Lewes in July. Looking for an endocrinologist. Specializing in diabetes and thyroid problems.
KL M. replied:
Dr.Reetu Singh- she is the BEST!!!
Janna K. replied:
I traveled to Wilmington for an endo who was educated on my endocrine issues. Dr. Amy Wachter is bright, proactive, easy to talk to, and she truly cares.
Wanda F. replied:
Dr. Singh has taken wonderful care of me for several years. I no longer take insulin or pills. Her P.A. Is great also. If you choose this practice, you may See her P.A. on your 1 st visit. She is extremely competent. This is a no-nonsense busy and caring practice. If you want good and serious care, I would recommend Dr. Singh at Endocrinology Associates in Lewes.
Dr Anita Raghuwanshi, next to fire house in Lewes.
Edith M. replied:
I also am a patient of Dr. Anita Raghuwanshi and have been very pleased with her kindness and professional care.
Sarah R. replied:
I'm also a patient of Dr. Raguwanshi and she is wonderful. I've never had any medical professional spend the time and give me the genuine, kind care as she does! You may wait a bit to get in, but she is so worth it, I promise!
Seeking recommendations for endocrinologist for a type-1 diabetic, preferably local to Millsboro and surrounding area.
Wanda F. replied:
Dr. Rhett Singh has treated me successfully for several years. Very busy practice. You have to see her nurse practioner the first visit.
Jennifer K. replied:
Dr Singh is the only one taking patients at this time that I know of. We don't have many endocrinologists around this area - one just left and the other is out on leave so it basically leaves Dr Singh and Dr Boxhill - dr Singh is nice but quite a few people I know have left her as well as some of my family because she is pill/insulin happy. Not saying she is like that with everyone but she loves to change medication all the time.
Wanda F. replied:
I disagree. Sometimes you have to change meds to get regulated. As for me, it took several times to regulate my meds. She helped me change my diet. I did the free diabetes classes through Beebe. My sugar finally normalized. Now, for 4 years I take a non insulin injection once a day (Victoza). Dr Singh has a serious no nonsense attitude, which I appreciate. She demands that you take Diabetes seriously. I think the world of her.
