You will find that most good physicians are booked out for new patients. Make an appt while you look. If it is an emergency they may try to get you in earlier. Dr. Palekahr is someone good in Lewes but I am not sure you will get in quickly.

I think Dr. David Reyes is taking new patients with Beacon Health, BeeBe Physicians. He is great. It took me three years to find someone I liked in the Rehoboth area. He has his office in the Rt. 24 Health Campus besides Delaware Eye.

I called there today to schedule an appt with Dr Hurd but had to leave a message, no one called me back today. I want a practice that I speak to a live person when I call, not to leave messages and wonder when my call will be returned.

Dr Deluca is very good, gets to the bottom of medical issues (she has never said to me - "well I'm not sure what it is" and then dropped it like many other DRs. I've gone to!) AND Helen Merrick NP is excellent as well. Both at Mid Atlantic Family Practice. BTW their new office on 24 is quickly taking shape so they should be back soon.

I changed docs in January and am now seeing Dr. Odette Evangelista. Her office is in Georgetown but she is part of the Beebe network. She is extremely intelligent, thorough and informative. Takes a lot of time with her patients too. I really like her.
