Dr. Iaerdi in newark......he is the best
Libby S. replied:
It is said that Katz is very good. Dr. Myers is a very good cardiac interventialist but I sincerely doubt that he does vascular surgery BUT he could refer to Christiana where he did his residency. Who's at Bayhealth?

Dr Coon at Haven Lake Animal Hospital is awesome, they have their own Rehabilitation area, https://www.facebook.com/rehabilitationcenterathavenlake/?fref=ts, you can go there for a consultation/evaluation also:) .. good luck to you
Ken D. replied:
Frances Haberstroh, Peninsula Animal Hospital and Orthopedics in Delmar did both knees for my Scotty, Simon, and I could never say enough good things about her. That was several years ago and Simon is still chasing rabbits at age 10 and a half. She was referred to me by Rehoboth Animal Hospital.
Ken D. replied:
We also use Haven Lake now and Dr. Coon operated on Simon for other things a couple weeks ago with great results. Simon is the one I should have bought health insurance for!

Carol at Healing Hands is the person that I highly recommend. We have two small pomeranians...both of which she has operated on. Get a second opinion about having to have the surgery. Both mine have the same issue. Both are on Walactin. It has made all the difference in the world!...for both dogs.

Looking for a back surgeon who specializes in bulging disks.
Leslie V. replied:
If the injury involves your spinal cord, I very highly recommend neurosurgeon Dr. Yalamanchili. He's up at Christiana, but worth the drive - I chose him for my neck surgery when 3 dr's out of 3 said he's who'd they go to if they needed spinal surgery. He's also non-aggressive and doesn't do surgery unless he's very certain that's your only real option.
Rose D. replied:
Dr. Michael Sugarman is performing low back surgery on me March 22nd at Christiana Hosp. He is also with the Neuroscience group in Newark. It was on the recommendation of my pain mgmt specialist Dr. Peter Covelski.
Debra E. replied:
I really like Dr. Sabbagh
Lori R. replied:
Dr. Pfaff. I'm a patient of his and he is fantastic!
Joyce B. replied:
Dr Jallo, Jefferson in Philadelphia .
Danielle M. replied:
Dr Phalff did my spinal fusion and I'm still screwed up n have to have another surgery to fix his mistake. If I could do it again I would use a neurosurgeon. Dr. Sugarmans office in Newark is amazing all the docs are great. Or use Dr. Woliniski at Johns Hopkins!!!
Melanie B. replied:
Please consider going out Delaware for this one, perhaps Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Doctors down here suck !
Frank F. replied:
Dr. Pfaff in orthopedic associates. I highly recommend.
Stephanie L. replied:

Dr. Allen BELZBERG Johns Hopkins Baltimore, MD
Lorraine C. replied:
Please get a neurosurgeon and make sure you ask how many operations he has done and his success rate. Dr. Eppley at Christiana is where we went. I still prefer Jefferson or University of Penn is you don't mind the drive.

Highly recommend her, others I recommended have also been thrilled with her
I need recommendations for neck and back doctors/surgeons. Also, please let me know if you have experience with Dr. Ronald Sabbagh and/or Dr. Pfaff. Thank you!
Teri A. replied:
See Dr. Allen Belzberg at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore. I don't think Dr. Pfaff is seeing patients now but I could be wrong
Nathalie W. replied:
Dr. Sabbagh is well recommended. If you put his name in the search box at the top of this group page, you can see all old posts that include his name.

Dr. Kennedy Yalamanchili. Delaware Neurosurgical Group in Newark
Debra E. replied:
I see Dr. Sabbagh. Very qualified and avoided surgery with me.
Gloria Z. replied:
I would never trust anyone here. John Hopkins is the best place to go
Beth M. replied:
Dr. Sabbagh and Dr. Pfaff are fantastic. Hubby has been seeing them about 2 yrs and they have done more for him then previous doc in 15 yrs. Dr. Pfaff just did a spinal fusion about 5-6 wks ago, he felt relief almost immediately. Dr. Pfaff has not left office, he is on a month leave.
Sue J. replied:
I read recently that Dr Pfaff is out indefinitely.
Wanda F. replied:
I recently had cervical spine surgery by Dr. Bernie Sugarman at Christiana Hospital. He and his practice comes highly recommended. I was completely satisfied.
Rose D. replied:
I had lumbar spine surgery one year ago, my 4 th, by Dr. Michael Sugarman, Neurologist, at Christiana Hospital. I'm very pleased with him. I wasn't living in De. at the time of my three other surgeries. I know two ladies that both had cervical surgeries by Dr. Kennedy Yalamanchili, in the same group as Dr. Sugarman, and were very pleased. I did not have a good experience with Dr. Sabbagh. A friend was schedule for a procedure with Dr. Pfaff today and was advised by his office he is out indefinitely.
Victoria D. replied:
I was seeing Dr. Pfaff he gave me 2 back surgeries in 8 months, after the second one the pain never went away and he just suggested another surgery. He is not working in that office anymore and I just saw him 2 weeks ago. I think I need a 2 nd opinion.
Jennifer B. replied:
Yes - Dr. Sabbagh. Beebe Medical Center is top rated in orthopedic surgery, and Dr. Sabbagh is awesome. I've seen him as a patient, and I also work at Beebe and can attest to his skill and outcomes. I don't have any experience with Dr. Pfaff, so I cannot comment on him. You don't need to go out of town for excellent orthopedic surgery.
Which surgeon would you recommend - Dr. Tatineni or Dr. Stancofski? And why?
Michaela C. replied:
I have heard both are good and I think they are partners. Dr. Stancofski is incredible!! He is smart, dedicated, and has a bedside manner second to none!! He saved my 87 yo MIL when another surgeon gave a grim diagnosis.
Shelley N. replied:
Dr. Stancofski is very compassionate.
Joyce B. replied:
Dr Tatineni did colostomy on my uncle and one year later he was put back together when others said it would not happen !!!
Jaime S. replied:
Dr Tatineni did my gallbladder surgery and removed a cyst from my neck. No issues other than the fact that he closed my laparoscopy cuts with staples. No one else I know who's had the surgery had staples. It left scars.
Bev P. replied:
Dr. Stafronski. HE IS GREAT. He has great technacle skill & he is very respectful. I've compared my scars with someone who had a different Dr. & my scars were smooth & here were all pinched & puckered. He also prepared you prior to surgery by giving you the scripts you will need before your surgery. No stopping at the drug store on the way home.
Patti B. replied:
We have used Dr Stancofski twice and really like him
Carol P. replied:
Thanks! I have heard great things about Dr. Stancofski but not really anything about Dr. Tanineni. I appreciate your comments!
Gabrielle P. replied:
Couldn't go wrong with either one. My husband had a great experience with Dr. Stancofski
Jackie C. replied:
Tatenini!! He literally saved my life years ago! I had been misdiagnosed for 9 months by doctors in my area and ended up with a failing liver because I had a gull stone stuck in my bile duct, blocking my liver. My boss took me to the ER one day when I showed up to work deathly ill and Dr Tatenini knew what was wrong immediately just by looking at me and what I was throwing up. He got me into surgery and saved my life. He said within 24 hrs, I would have been in a coma.

Karen M. replied:
Agree, Dr Tidwell for sure!
Joanne T. replied:
We agree with Dr Tidwell.
Valerie T. replied:
Sounds like you will need a good general dentist. Dr Tidwell is a great oral surgeon. He can extract and place an implant but doesn't restore it with a tooth. If the broken tooth isn't giving you pain have your whole mouth evaluated and make a plan for good dental health. I am a dental hygienist at the Dental Group. There are 6 great general dentists there to help you make a plan to restore your smile and have a healthy mouth!
