Looking for a Podiatrist or plastic surgeon perhaps that uses more cosmetic less invasive procedures to correct ingrown toenails. Removing the nail seems way too extreme...
Nita S. replied:
I was going to suggest Dr. Tam, also. He is very gentle and kind. I could imagine how good he would be with children.
Debra H. replied:
Dr. Kulina did mine and I didn't feel a thing! Best thing I ever did . Order the "matrixectomy"
Gloria Z. replied:
Dr Orsini did mine about 10 years ago and it has not come back. He is great. You don't even feel it when he does it. He is in Lewes
Eleanor O. replied:
Don't remove. Although not painful they never grow back in correctly. Get a pedicure@Top One Nail.
Madell S. replied:
Kitty Prettyman Harmon is a master at getting out ingrowns. I would have her work on it a couple of times before taking the whole nail! She is as Stephan and Co., they are a little pricey compared to the run of the mill "nail salon" but she is well trained and knows what she is doing. I am pretty sure she is not just a nail tech but is certified as a medical nail tech.
Tamra F. replied:
I just took my 14 yr old son to Dr. Tam in Milford... only the edge of the nail needed to be removed. The worst part of the procedure was 2 shots to numb the toe. I won't lie, it wasn't pretty & seemed painful but he didn't feel a thing after that. Dr. Tam was very soft spoken & understanding. The nurse was wonderful. I should also mention that other Dr's in the area couldn't fit us in but we were able to get a same day (emergency) appt. http://www.dpmdocs.com/
My husband has chronic foot pain mostly on the top and side of his foot. Looking for a foot doctor. Either a podiatrist or a good orthopedic doc. Recommendations?
Beth B. replied:

Looking for a really good podiatrist to help with plantar fasciitis, any recommendations?

I follow Johnny Gillespie of BalancedAthlete on FB and Vimeo. He has a series of videos with exercises, yoga positions, and treating injured parts, including feet.
Who would you recommend as a podiatrist in the Reho/Lewes area?
I have been procrastinating about a toe issue for a month or so and can't ignore it anymore.
Thanks!

Dr. Menendez in Lewes!
Sheri A. replied:
Thank you, everyone! That sounds like a resounding recommendation for Dr. Orsini! Now I just hope I won't have to wait 6 months to get in to see him. I'm already a patient in that practice because I've been going to Dr. Carroll for the severe arthritis in my knee.
Kris E. replied:
Yes, Debra Evalds, he is a wonderful surgeon.
Vera B. replied:
Debra Evalds .. He just fused my ankle joint a couple weeks ago. Long recovery but great guy. Only negative thing to say is I have a nasty looking incision on the ankle and a huge blood blister on the heel incision. He totally beat me up!!!!! (But the third incision looks good...time will tell with healing though, and they all might heal beautifully)
Pat M. replied:
Dr. Menendez!
Anne M. replied:
Dr. Kathryn Lightcap. ..across from Lewes fire hall.
JuneRose F. replied:
Dr. Drew Collins, Collins Podiatry. Thorough and honest.
Kate F. replied:
Dr. Capabianco, also with Orthaepedic Associates (Orsini's office), is EXCELLENT. She fixed my ankle over a year ago and I have had no regrets post surgery.
Looking for podiatrist referrals in Lewes (will go to Milford if need be) - for assessment of foot (likely metatarso-cuneiform exostosis - i.e. "top of foot bone spur")...

Another for Orsini. Jason has seen him and also Dr. Capobianco in his practice.
I would like to find a good podiatrist who is experienced in treating plantar facitis. I live in Milford, but anywhere in Sussex will be fine. Thank you!
If you've gotten custom made orthodics from a local podiatrist and you were happy with the results, I'd love the recommendation! I'd also like to know, how long have you...
Beth S. replied:
Dr. Kulina in Lewes...they lasted 10 years and relieved my plantar fasciitis. Had terrible heel spurs and flat feet and they prevented me from having surgery or injections.
