Lucie Miller I have never been here but it shows up when I search Bethesda so I am not sure how far away it is from where you will be. http://thepointofitallonline.com/

It is definitely worth the short trip to Waste Knot in Arlington, Virginia. Great canvases and threads with outstanding customer service.

I'm sure the DC shop is lovely, I haven't made it there yet. There are a number of shops in the Baltimore area, look on Google for details. They're all wonderful and they're all different. Some don't carry needlepoint per se but have wonderful fibers and beads, they're all worth a stop. The Stitching Post (lots and lots of stuff, some needlepoint), Bedecked and Beadazzled (needlepoint, etc), Needles & Threads of Ruxton (also needlepoint, etc) and Needlecraft Corner (huge assortment of fibers). Make a day of it and stop at the Baltimore Museum of Art and see their crazy quilt exhibit and have lunch! That's what we did the other day, we live in Western Maryland so we took a day off and played. It was great!

I've been to TPOIA a few times when in DC. Nice little shop in the house that used to be the Washington Doll House Museum. Kind of pricy, thought, compared to NYC shops.
