I second Borough Market! On a day like today, a stroll around Primrose Hill and Marylebone High Street also is ideal. There is a stellar cheese shop (a giant walk-in refrigerator of cheese) off the High Street called La Fromagerie and the Wallace Collection is nearby. If you don't mind being inside, there is a Vikings exhibit at the British Museum. OR if you just want to drink go to Duke's for a Vesper Martini (and act like James Bond). Wish I could be out there with you!

So an update here, I should note I studied abroad here in London and so have been to most of the museums. So I ate at my favorite fish and chips place, Gigs, and then went to the Churchill War Rooms, and then had drinks with Rosa Birch, Merici Vinton, and Aaron Banks. So not a bad day at all.

ArtBar or dante are decent options, especially if the weather's nice. There's also Helmand or Similans if you want to go ethnic. Bambara is supposed to be good as well, although I've never been.

Shabu & Mein is another option. It's a 5-10 minute walk. Their ramen is very good, but I've never tried the shabu.
