Saw Dr. Patel today after seeing Dr. Chung in Dallas. HUGE difference. Dr. Patel at ENT for Children gave me the pro's, the con's, the exceptions, and all the details in between so I could make some decisions about treatment plan and surgeries. Very great experience.

We see Dr. Barnett at Family Allergy and Asthma. Very pleased with her. My son has peanut, tree nut and asthma
Christie S. replied:
Family Allergy and Asthma Dr Fitzgerald
Rebecca S. replied:
I went to Family Allergist and was told my result said zero allergies. Then found out they only tested "local" allergies and not regional and later found out through a different Dr, that I have a high allergy to Mtn Cedar which is a common tree further south but blows in with the winds.
Barbara G. replied:
DR. Hudelson
Karen P. replied:
I see Dr Barrett at Family allergy and asthma. I am really happy
Can someone recommend a pediatric allergist? And how bad are the shots if your child needed them? :(
Beena O. replied:
Dr Huddleston is great! Also, because of the frequency of the shots, the allergy clinic needs to be close by. I sometimes take my kids for shots during lunch/recess break....that way they don't miss much school! The shots itself don't hurt much, the kids got used to it pretty quick.
Andrea K. replied:
Dr Wasserman. He offices in Frisco & Dallas. He has made a huge difference in our household!
Sandy D. replied:
Dr Huddelson!
Carol W. replied:
Two of my kids did them through our family practice dr than has an allergy clinic in house. They really helped. The needles we used were the little insulin needles. We were able to do them at home. We go to Dr. Pravong at Lifetime Family Medicine.
Cheryl S. replied:
Dr. Huddleston! I have two kids on shots and they don't mind them at all!
Vanessa S. replied:
I couldn't recommend Dr. Adair more. Adair Allergy in Coppell. She by far, has the best bedside manner of ANY doctor we have seen anywhere anytime. We have taken our 2 year old to both a Pediatric Dermatologist and Dr. Adair an Allergist. Within 30 days of visiting Dr. Adair and following her routine we were much better. Her allergy team is fantastic and is great with kids. Good luck finding a good match for your family. http://www.adairallergy.com/
Katherine O. replied:
Dr Fitzgerald rocks!!!

Suzanne S. replied:
Yes! Family Allergy and Asthma. My daughter is absolutely terrified of needles and these don't bother her at all. We go once a week. It's by Lifetime Fitness. Also, if your child is going to be tested, ( a friend of mine in the medical field) they can have blood drawn to see what they are allergic to. As opposed to the skin testing . She said the reason dr's don't tell you that is because they make more money doing the skin testing. That was the worst part of the whole thing because it itches so bad while waiting. Might be worth checking in to.
Rachel D. replied:
Suzanne do you get the blood drawn at your pediatrician or at Family Asthma? I had a skin test years ago myself and I was itching for 2 weeks on my back. No joke. I wouldn't put him through that.
Sandy D. replied:
We had an instance where the pediatrician drew the blood (out of convenience) and ordered the results sent to Dr. Huddleson so she could discuss with us at the appointment. Allergies are rough here, best to discuss with the experts
John Fling UNT Health817-735-2583. My 7 yr old has seen him since he was three. He is allergic to everything from corn, wheat, soy, nectarines and so on as well as trees, grass, rag weed, pollen and much more. He has done a wonderful job with his allergies and asthma. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is great with the kids.

Vanessa S. replied:
I can not recommend Dr. Margaret Adair with Adair Allergy highly enough. She is terrific with both adults and kids. She is an allergist and pediatrician. Both my daughter and I are patients and they respect your time so much. It is easy in and out for appointments and shots.

Help ! I think my husband has acquired a meat allergy. Any recommendations for a good allergist in the area.
Christina A. replied:
Get him tested for a tick bite from the Lonestar tick. It's been known to cause people to have allergic reactions to various meat proteins. It's diagnosed through blood work. For an allergist...we see Family Allergy and Asthma care. My son and I see Dr.Marie Fitzgerald and like her but I also like one of her partners, Dr. Huddleson too. They are off if Churchill behind the library.
Andrea S. replied:
There is nothing that can be done by an allergist for food issues. Lookup Integrated Health and Wellness in Frisco, 972-377-2771. Dr. Hassan has an alternative method that does work. My daughter can eat food other than plain grilled chicken and white rice which is all we ate during high school.
Looking for a local allergist/asthma doctor for my children. Have one in Frisco, but would rather find one in Flower Mound. Any recommendations would be greatly...
Gypsy C. replied:
I see Sherry Barnett, MD at Family Allergy and Asthma Care. I thought she was wonderful but I see her for desensitization to a medication I'm allergic to to for allergies or asthma. Her staff is also very professional and polite. http://www.faaccares.com/tx/OurProviders.aspx
Erin K. replied:
We see Dr. Huddleston also at Family Allergy and Asthma. She's wonderful. Everyone over there is.
Sandy D. replied:
Another vote for Dr. Huddelson (all in the office are great!)
I'm looking for an experienced allergist who treats primarily adults within a 30 or so mile radius of Flower Mound. Thanks for your recommendations!

Debbie D. replied:
Dr. Nanda. Allergy & Asthma Center. He has an office in Lewisville & FM. He's the first allergist I've had that doesn't lecture me about my pets too (not giving them up). He's easy to get in to.
Barb G. replied:
Dr. Mary Hudelson - Flower Mound Family Allergy and Asthma
Jill C. replied:
I second Dr. Barnett at FM family allergy. I have both food and environmental allergies. My only complaint is the wait time for doctors visit. Arrive 15 early as they double book appointments at the same time, first to arrive gets the doc first!
Becky D. replied:

Erin R. replied:
We love Dr. Hudelson but she treats both kids and adults. The whole family sees her and she's awesome.
Natalie H. replied:
We started with Dr. Huddleson years ago for our family allergy issues and have gradually transitioned to Dr. Barnett simply because Dr. H is in such high demand and we can get in to Dr. Barnett much faster. Love them both!
