Hate to tell you this but some of the Dr.'s in D magazine got in that issue because they "nudged" their way in by paying for advertising space. I use to write the checks for a large Ortho practice that was in "D" magazine's best Dr. release. Sina Matin, MD is good. He's excellent with Davinci Laprascopic surgery and is Medical Board "clean". Office in Grapevine http://www.surgicalgroupnt.com
Barb G. replied:
Dr. Shovlin
Ann S. replied:
I agree with Dr Matin.

Carol C. replied:
Dr Borgfield or Dr McDermott, same practice across from FM Presbyterian hospital.
Elyce F. replied:
Dr. Borgfeld did mine too! What really impressed me was all of the nurses at the hospital said that is who they would want to take out theirs! My father and my brother used him too!
Judy C. replied:
I just had my gall bladder removed last week by Dr. Borgfeld and had my follow-up appointment today. It went great and it is a day surgery. My doctor said the other doctors in the same practice with him are good too. http://www.assocofsurgery.com/Pages/Home.aspx

Can't recommend this guy highly enough. http://profiles.utsouthwestern.edu/profile/41601/jeffrey-cadeddu.html
Barb G. replied:
Dr. Caddeddu did robotic surgery on my teenage son, this year.( I just had to spell his name a minute ago when sending the Nephrologist a message! Small world, Rick Hemry ) Finally got this kid out of pain after 19 years but it was a Gastro that discovered it. Alex did fine with the surgery and chose robotic surgery at UTSW.

Looking for a Back/spine surgeon to give second opinion. Must be one who will not recommend unnecessary surgery. No bashing please:)
Paul P. replied:
Dr Douglas Won at Minimally Invasive Spine Care.
Dawn S. replied:
Dawn, Dr Mignucci in Plano is one of the best. He did my surgery in 1999 and been great ever since. He is conservative so surgery last resort. Let me if you want more info
Jim S. replied:
Rob Dickerman
Michele V. replied:
Dr Dickerman- rarely suggests surgery first.
Paul P. replied:
My bad, I've seen a few before Dr. Won. Fusion wasn't necessarily an option presented.
Joy S. replied:
Really depends on your condition and the severity of the condition. I have spinal stenosis, two bulging discs, and scarring of the SI joint, I do not want surgery. I'm currently seeing Dr. Enty at Pinnacle Pain Management in the offices at Harris Methodist Southlake, I get epidural steroid injections, use a TENS unit, control my weight ( it's very difficult, but helps tremendously) and minimal pain meds. I also see a chiropractor to keep the rest of my body parts from being in knots. Good luck, I have been referred to Dr. Timmone if I considered surgey, but would have to be unable to walk to even think about surgery.
Jennifer D. replied:
Dr. Won hands down. He says surgery should be you absolute LAST option and to exhaust all other treatments first.
Douglas W. replied:
Thank you, all for mentioning me. Surgery is the absolute last resort. That's why we have a comprehensive spine center with therapist, chiropractor, interventional pain specialists to provide complete non-surgical treatment. Only after you fail, and if you have surgical indication, you should consider surgery. Also, if you do have surgery, you should only consider Minimally Invasive spine surgery. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me at dwon@LuminHealth.com
Paul P. replied:
Dr. Bahtla is wonderful as well.
Shelly S. replied:
Douglas Won for sure
Jodi S. replied:
Dr. Andrew Park at Texas spine consultants in Addison.
Sarah V. replied:

Jennifer L. replied:
