Looking for a dermatologist/plastic surgeon recommendation to have a cyst removed on my daughter's face. Want to be extra careful due to the location. Anyone had this...
Natalie H. replied:
North Dallas Dermatology Associates. https://northdallasderm.com/ Bit of a drive but worth it, especially if you want something done with minimal long-term consequences. I've seen Dr. Costner, my girls have seen Dr. Gordon.
Sarah N. replied:
Dr. Chris Crawford214-987-3376 He has an office in Plano. There are other doctors in his practice that are very good too.
Cindy B. replied:
Christine Brown is a plastic surgeon by Baylor. She removed Cancer from my face beside my nose the size of a quarter. She did a awesome job. She payed close attention to the lines on the face to make it unnoticeable. For me she did a great job of what could have been a really bad situation.
Diane D. replied:
This is who my husband uses along with several friends and they all love her. http://www.dermatologylewisville.com/meet-dr-carolyn-lyde
LeeAnna S. replied:
I'm not sure how old your daughter is but we took our son to Dr. Stiles. She is amazing. He had a very large mole that was pre cancerous and dermatologists didn't want to remove because of the area and size on his ear. She did it and you can barely tell it was ever there. http://www.plastiksforkids.com/
Heidi H. replied:
Dr. Thornwell Parker did an amazing job for my husband and his mom with MOHS/Plastics on their faces. I would go to him in a heartbeat for any facial dermatology needs. http://www.skincancerconsultants.com/

I second Dr Ghali in Grapevine for dermatologist. For oral surgeon I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Russell Bass in Coppell. There is nothing assembly line there when getting wisdom teeth removed, he does everything himself. He administers the IV himself, changes the gauze himself, and will personally call you later to check on you.

Can anybody recommend a good Dermatologist in FM or anywhere. I have a skin lesion that started with an insect bite that needs attention. I can't seem to get in earlier...
Troye S. replied:
My husband goes to Dr James Bond in Grapevine. Yes, that is his real name, no he will not look amused if you comment on it. My husband says he has zero bedside manner, but he is fantastic at what he does and very thorough. And the staff has always been really personable when I've been there with him.
Sandy D. replied:
Used to go to Dr. Bond and really was never comfortable there. I now go to McGuinness' group and have pretty much seen everyone there at one time or another. They are all great and worth the wait. See if perhaps they can put you on a cancellation list if a last minute slot opens up.
Kate P. replied:
Dr McGuinnis. Most good derms take a while to get into and are worth the wait. I've worked for derms that specialized in skin cancer removals/surgeries and have had several myself. I've had lots of scarring from Ray Vaughn and Perez office.
Dixie B. replied:
Dr McGuiness, but I never have any problems getting in pretty quickly.
Yogita G. replied:
Thank you all so much for so many recommendations! Dr McGuinness was the first one my PCP recommended but he is unavailable until Jan 27 for new patients. This morning I called 11 dermatologist offices to see if anyone can get me in on their cancellati...See More

Yes, Dr Puryear!
Nancy N. replied:
Dan I like McGuiness. Explained procedures
Sue C. replied:
Do you have to request to specifically see Dr. McGuiness? I took my son there three times, only saw a PA, and it felt like we were "handled". In and out in 5 minutes, didn't feel like our questions were answered, had no idea what differences there were when they switched medication. Not to mention I was told to get the medicine at a specific pharmacy, which felt strange.
Georgie W. replied:
Dan Weinman, don't wish to hijack your post but I too am interested to hear people's thoughts on teen dermatologists. Thinking of switching from an 'out of town' Dermo to somewhere in Flower Mound and would be grateful for any thoughts. Hope you don't mind Dan.
