We talked for nearly 30 mins at my last appt. She even gave me contact info for an acupuncturist that she personally uses. Her husband is a Pain Specialist in Lewisville also & did my epidural for ongoing PHN nerve pain from Shingles, he’s awesome too.

Dr Kennedy with Cooks children.. Wonderful

Dr. Brown and Dr. Capelo in Gapevine and at Medical City. They are indeed Pediatric Orthopaedists. They do not treat adults.

My son broke his wrist during football practice on Sep. 4 th. His doctor had us go to OrthoTexas. Their main office is in Carrollton but they do have a satellite office in FloMo. We ended up going to the Carrollton office cause they could get him in right away. My son saw Dr. Neagle. He and I both loved him. The rest of the staff was really nice also. Here's their #972.492.7909 (at Parker & Josey)
Michele V. replied:
All the docs at Ortho Texas are great! Dr. Goodhart is awesome and he works out of Flo Mo office.
Gypsy C. replied:
I ran pediatric and Orthopedic clinics for 15 years, most of those years being in DFW. There are NO "true" pediatric orthopedic surgeons in our area. The closets is in Plano. While most adult orthopedic surgeons can treat children, there are certain ortho problems/injuries that children develop that should be treated by a dedicated pediatric specialist. The closets and most comprehensive program is at Scottish Rite in Plano. http://www.pediatricsportsmedicine.org/
Troye S. replied:
Ortho Texas is where we always took my daughter for sports injuries. Dr Wheeless was who she always saw and he is great. He also helped my husband avoid surgery on his broken collar bone. I've seen Dr Graehl and had 2 surgeries w Dr Neagle. We go to Carrollton bc we can get in faster.
Franki M. replied:

Andrea C. replied:
Dr. Capelo in Grapevine is excellent and has wonderful bedside manner. He started treating my daughter at 3 mos and we love him!
Karen M. replied:
Go to Scottish Rite Hospital or Children's in Dallas. It is worth the 30 minute drive to see a pediatric specialist. The doctors specialize in different ortho areas. Our son used Dr. Daniel Sucato at Scottish Rite Hospital for a broken femur. Awesome doctor; cant say enough good about him.
Kelley M. replied:
Scottish Rite is the BEST place to go for pediatric Orthopedics!! They are the leading experts in care and research!! My son started going there when he was four!! They truly are amazing!!
Michele H. replied:
The Scottish Rite doctors are on staff at Children's. I have been to both Dallas and Plano Hospitals and highly recommend the Plano Hospital.
Do not go to Dr. Wilkovsky at Ortho Associates. He does not give thorough post care information which results in extensive physical therapy afterwards.

Dr. Foster at Foster Chiropractic does acupuncture. I just started acupuncture therapy this past year and I have been amazed at how it has helped me. Dr. Foster is wonderful and explains what he is doing and how it works. And if a chiropractic adjustment is needed, you can have both done at the same appointment.
Linda N. replied:
Also, Dr. Justin Fortier at Apple Wellness (by the FM Post Office) is a kinesiology/chiropractor. I know you have seen a chiropractor but Dr. Justin is not the standard Chiro. He straightened my daughter's scoliosis whereas the kinesiogist/chiro that we were seeing didn't even notice that she had scoliosis. By the way, he is out of the office next week.

Troye S. replied:
My daughter and husband have both seen Dr Wheeless at OrthoTexas in Carrollton for their shoulders. He could have recommended surgery for both injuries, but did not jump to it. I've seen Dr. Cantrell at Ortho Associates twice...shoulder and elbow. No surgery for either. And the shoulder injury was after falling from the top step of my attic ladder!
Linda N. replied:
Dr. Cantrell or Dr. Newton in Addison. Trust me I have had 4 right shoulder surgeries which included 3 surgeons. It was Dr. Newton that managed to fix my shoulder after 3 prior surgeries. Dr. Cantrell was to be my surgeon, but the neck surgeon I was working with insisted on Dr. Newton. I asked my physical therapist who he would use should he need shoulder surgery and his choice would be Dr. Cantrell. Dr. Cantrell took care of both of my knee surgeries, and all is well. I have to tell ya that I prefer the surgery center that Dr. Newton uses in Frisco. For that reason alone should I need ortho surgery again I will go to Dr Garner. Newton.
Tami E. replied:
Dr Singahl was the only Dr I saw for my shoulder and he did several things for my shoulder and I finally requested surgery because I needed my right arm to help me with the back surgery that was set up a couple of months later. Procedure was short and I healed quickly. I'm glad I did it.

I saw Dr. Evanich at Orthopedic Associates last week. I was truly impressed. He doesn't want to immediately schedule surgery like most of them. He has a plan of action and I was extremely happy with him.

My wife and I have both had cervical spine surgeries with Dr. Tompkins. He's a neurosurgeon and I recommend that kind of surgeon for anything spine related. Chris O. replied:
My sister used Dr Isador Lieberman at Texas Back Institute. He's good.
Sarah V. replied:
Dr. Kibuule with Spine Team Southlake is great. I can't say enough good things about him and the staff at Spine Team. After going to Texas Back Institute and Carrel Clinic and feeling hopeless and just like a number, the staff at Spine Team understood and worked hard to help manage my pain (without meds) through injection shots and working with a physiatrist. When it finally came time for surgery, Dr. Kibuule was great. I had my surgery Dec. 2014 and am much better. My PT with them was great, and they continue to follow up because I have ongoing disc issues. They have everything all in one place, so the whole team can communicate together, and I found that to be refreshing. It built my case for surgery, which I'm glad I had!
Madeline M. replied:
Dr. Neil Shah Best spine doc out there! Very conservative...will not recommend surgery unless absolutely necessary and has a great rehabilitation team he works with!
Tabitha P. replied:

Stacy F. replied:
Dr. Richard Guyer at Texas Back Institute. He did my spinal surgery in 2009 and I have been pain free ever since. He's amazing and he's also a really nice guy.
LauriAnn C. replied:
Dr. Tolhurst at Texas Back Institute across from FM Presby. He did my spine fusion in August. We started with a conservative approach and tried to avoid surgery. He has a great beside manner and does not push pills. I always feel like a person that can express my concerns and have them heard rather than just another patient in and out of the room.
Brenda J. replied:
Dr Giseler doesn't push pills, uses PT first, then goes from there.
Laurie A. replied:
Dr. Jon Krummerman. Operated on me in October. I am back to being pain free! Awesome bed side manner and amazing surgeon
