Not sure I am a good candidate but I would like to look into lasik. Any great docs out there that you can recommend?

http://www.commonwealtheyes.com/ Have nurse friend who works there. She highly recommends the Dr.
Charmaine S. replied:
TLC Laser Center is great. Don't know if there's one near you but that's where we refer all our patients. The one by me will do a free work up to see if you're a candidate before proceeding.
Can anyone recommend a good optician in Lexington? My old one went out of business. I need someone good with fitting contacts (my glasses are heavy enough these days...
Jan H. replied:
Dr. Richard Bowers, then see Eddie in the optical shop
Jessica M. replied:
I use Drs. Ditto, Musik in Nicholasville. Not a far drive and well worth it. They are Saxton's docs too!
Sarah A. replied:
I got into it with Eddie at Bowers' office once. I can't remember what it was now tho. We just eyeball each other when I am in there now. This happened years & years ago. LOL. I see Dr Marsha Penn at that office
Eric M. replied:
Randall Lambirth at Simpson Optical on Reynolds Rd. I've been with him for a decade or so. I can't sing his praises enough. He's got a great personality and works with you to find what works best for you.
Jan H. replied:
You can always drive to Memphis and see my cousin, Dr. Pam Schnell. Might be a drive, but highly recommended. ;)
Shannon V. replied:
We love Simpson Optical in Tates Creek Centre, especially Dr. Zent.
Julie G. replied:
Sarah Jane Bagby Herbener Elizabeth Westin, ky eye consultants. Contact lens specialist, saint, brainiac, and absolute contact expert...including bifocals. She is the bomb...and they are very reasonable. I have found unless you have vision insurance simpson is very convenient but also expensive, imho:) she was also wonderful with Glenn when he started wearing glasses.
Looking for recommendations for LASIK doctors/centers in Central Ky? Any to avoid? Any advice is appreciated.
Connie G. replied:
I think we refer to Dr Bowers, Dr Koffler and have heard good things about Dr Ferguson may be more just can't think of them
Erica H. replied:
Dr. Simon from Winchester did mom's surgery. She was very pleased.
Levi G. replied:
Dr. Holland from Lexington eye surgery off of Alexandria is really good. He's done all 3 of my eye surgeries. I highly recommend him.
Lynn L. replied:
I went to Lasik Plus on Nicholasville Rd., Dr. Greenburg. My astigmatism is so bad, they weren't even sure I was a candidate. 20/20 now! I've been wearing glasses since I was two; I can't explain how amazing it feels to see.
Russell F. replied:
If Dr. Koffler is available, I know him well and he is excellent.
Jason O. replied:
I have an appointment at Commonwealth Dec 19. Dr Lance Ferguson is the one that does the surgeries. By far the most recommended from all that responded. Thanks for all the input, & I'll probably check with Koffler as well. Very big decision for me.
Connie G. replied:
Dr Ferguson did my sisters and she had no complaints
Anyone had LASIK recently. considering it for the kid. My sister got it 8 years ago at $4700, is that the going rate or is it cheaper now?
Also, anyone recommend any...
Jackie D. replied:
I got it done almost 3 years ago. $3000. And I have no regrets! I went to Joffe Medicenter in Louisville.
Eric S. replied:
Shannon Givhan, we're considering it for Jonny as a gift. His bday is in Feb. I will let you know what UK covers and what LASIK Plus quotes.
Question??? Anyone in the Lexington area recommend a good place to get LASIK eye surgery! Tired of squinting and don't want glasses or contacts! I'm a bit nervous about...
Barbara H. replied:
