Does anyone know of any neurologist that specialize in PTC? I don't care where in the country they are located...I just want someone that knows what they are talking...
Angela C. replied:
I see a Neuropthalmologist in Pittsburgh,@AGH. Dr. Eric Happ. He specializes in PTC. But hes not my favorite person right now. lol
Carisa M. replied:
I seen 2 different Neuro-ophthalmologist in the Pittsburgh eyes, ears & nose institute, I think that's wut it was called, Dr Zayden, I think that was one of their names, last January and at that point I was just starting to lose my peripheral vision & then was referred to Dr Horowitz at butler memorial hosp for a VP shunt surgery. I don't care very much for any of Pittsburgh's medical centers or doctors. Never had a decent experience w/any of them...they'll always seem to wanna pass the bat to a different doctor & it resulted in me going from one doctor to the next cuz no one had the answers or seemed to know what they were doing or talking about. A lot of answers were, maybe it's this or could be that and so on. Very frustrating.
Mary D. replied:

Please go see him he was great for me. He didn't waist any time with testing and medication informing me of things that could help. Hope you find a doctor that works for you.

Be positive . And Ask alot of questions to your doctor. She is right about the numerous Lps.. After time it can be damaging to your nerves and no longer be as helpful for the pressure . Rest well and eat a clean diet . Walk and stretch your body to move your blood. My mistake was believing i would be immobile and sat fir a year almost daily in between cleaning and cooking laying in bed.. Gained more weight and now.. I move .. Walk at least 30 min daily 25 min morn.. 15 min evening after dinner. Im off meds and gradually losing weight . The weining off the meds was my personal choice I dont reccomend just anyone do that. You are not alone The God never leaves anyone alone . You will be okay
