For my mom friends in Lexington, can you suggest a good OBGYN? Sophia was delivered by a midwife, that we loved, but feel that a doctor may be the best route this time....
Laura N. replied:
All the above are fine but I think you should consider going to PDC. They are the best at any high risk pregnancies or complications of pregnancy. They are the specialists in this area and you will be closely monitored and in good hands the entire pregnancy. Their number is 260-6100
Rebekah F. replied:
Laura Northrip knows all of them
Jaime C. replied:
I made an appt with Dr. Simms at lex obgyn. Thanks Tiffany Prater!
Crystal S. replied:
I second Dr. Campbell, if Dr. Simms falls through. He is wonderful.
Jennifer W. replied:
Dr. Julie Ashmun273-0926
Lori O. replied:
Dr Tamara James at St Joe East. Let me know if you want the number.
Lori O. replied:
Also Dr Campbell, like Crystal Bowman Schmidt suggested. He's amazing as well.
Joy K. replied:
Larry Butler is the best! Great christian man, too!
Tiv W. replied:
I had Dr. O'Neill (he's in the Central Baptist complex). I really liked him. Unfortunately, he was out of town when I delivered. But he is an awesome OB.
Jaime C. replied:
Jennifer Williams-- still here! We will see Dr. Simms but not until next week. Today we see nurse practitioner.
Dr. Traci Slone. Love her yo pieces. I've been going to her for 12 years.
Linda B. replied:
I love Randy Owen but I'm not sure he is taking new patients. Tracy Slone is in the same practice - Lexington Ob-gyn. I met 4 of the doctors while pregnant and know some of the staff through other friends. I recommend them highly.
Rebecca W. replied:
Call Lexington Women's Health - I believe half of the doctors listed above are with the practice. I see Jennifer Fuson and love her. All the doctors and midwives there are great and they have an office at Baptist Health and one in Hamburg.
Lisa M. replied:
I don't really want someone who is into delivering babies and midwivery, if you know what I mean. LOL. I'd like someone whose passion is older broads. I had already looked at Lexington Women's Health. Emily Cunningham's bio says she's into "pediatric and adolescent gynecology, high risk and routine obstetrics, and family centered care." Maybe Fuson....I don't think Dr. Tackett takes new patients.
Lee B. replied:
I don't think Dr Cunningham is taking new patients either but they have a PA named Katherine Allen and she's good.
Lisa M. replied:
Erin, I heard Dr. O'Nan moved to Alaska!
Sarah L. replied:
I really like Brad Youkilis at Women's Care Center@Baptist Health. He's a transplant from Cincinnati and he caught my friend's ovarian cancer super early which ultimately saved her life. Good for "broads" of any age.
Ann D. replied:
Dr. John Looff
Stephanie P. replied:
Dr. Looff - absolutely.
Candy M. replied:
Reva Tackett or Randy Owen.
Kera A. replied:
I like Dr. Looff.
Rosemary M. replied:
Mike Guiler
Becky B. replied:

Beth B. replied:
Listen to 'old' nurses......my vote Dr. Looff. I've retired 2 gyn drs. and now don't even need one which is a big relief!
Andrea C. replied:
Youkilis is in with Dr. Looff I do believe as well.

FLORIDA - GYN NEEDED: "Hi, I'm looking for a good, preferably female OB/Gyn in the Jacksonville Florida area. I need to find someone who can fix a crooked episiotomy...
Ginny S. replied:
Dr. Kimberly VanScriver at A Place For Women.
Megan C. replied:
I have a SiL & a friend who both liked Dr. McLanahan. I did not like New Horizons OB/GYN bedside manner & won't send anyone there. Heard great things about Dr. VanScriver, but her staff has high turnover rates & she is super busy. Good luck!!!
