Maureen P. replied:
If you are still looking, my mother also went to Dr. Hymowitz. We found Dr.. Shawn Abraham and she loves him. My mother is elderly and has crippling arthritis. He spent a great deal of time really listening to her an discussing her options, we were both impressed. http://www.arthritissj.com/physicians/shawn-abraham-md/

ok all the doctors suggested here are from the same group...I went to this group and saw Dr. Weeks....Maybe it was just not a fit with the Doctor....Are Methotrexate, Bios and Steroids the only option ..or a drs. preference?
Lily P. replied:
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Dr. Dwyer was in practice with Dr. Hymowitz around the early 90's...we use to see him before he left and never followed but he is very good!
HI Folks. I'm looking for recommendations for a good rheumatologist that specializes in auto-immune disorders. Thanks

Dr. Solomon or Dr. Evangelisto both are very good.

Carolyn O'Conner Drexel med in marlton. She's also on tv for medical mysteries. ^^from above recomm - Dr. Silver told me I had RA, and wanted me on a chemo drug. That didn't sound right, so I sought out a second opinion. Dr. O'Conner said I don't have RA, but OA - which is significantly different.
Jen L. replied:
I just started seeing Dr. Carolyn O'Conner at Drexel in Marlton for Sjogren's Syndrome. I've only been there once so can't really comment on her treatment, but I got her name from this group. There were quite a few recommendations for her here. http://drexel.edu/medicine/Faculty/Profiles/Carolyn-OConnor/

I have been a patient there for 5+ years. My rheumy, Dr Han, moved to the west coast last year, and I panicked. Turns out all is well, because Dr Kuzshyn, his replacement, is excellent! I am so pleased with that office.
Mary C. replied:
Dr. Amy Evangelista. She is affiliated with Virtua and Cooper and has an office right on Evesham Road in Voorhees. I just started seeing her myself so I am basing this on only one appointment, but I liked her bedside manner and found her knowledgeable and current. She came highly recommended from my primary Dr. whom I trust completely.
Hello there..anyone know of a good rheumatologist in the Medford area. Last one I called was no longer taking patients.
Deb L. replied:
I go to Cooper Rheumatology on Centennial Blvd in Voorhees. I see Dr Han. He listens, and recently successfully appealed my insurance company to get my medication back for me after they denied it .
