J29 events is a great planning company! Nicole Wagner of Powder Inc. is hands down the best make up and hair artist I've met (and I am a MUAH artist as well!) Shawn Whittemore of Event Team Entertainment is by far, the most impressive DJ I've ever met. He takes his business and job seriously so you can have fun! Also, he's the ONLY licensed wedding director in the NW, he's incredible. I can't speak highly enough of his company. And Amanda Lloyd is a photographer you want by your side on your big day!! xo
I have a few questions, first, where is the best place to get Tunisian Crochet hooks and cables, also is the Denise best? Also what brands of regular crochet hooks do...
Dela W. replied:
I like the U-Nitt Tunisian hooks. They come in two lengths and are nice and lightweight. Mind you I also have A Denise set, and a Knit Picks set, and several from Nova Scotia, the River John Needle Company. I use different hooks depending on the project, the yarn, and whether I am taking them on the plane.
Pam P. replied:
I like to use solid bamboo/wooden Tunisian hooks. I have ChiaoGo hooks I got at my favorite yarn shoppe in Pittsburgh, PA. I also found some homemade wooden T. hooks, especially a 1/2 inch diameter hook that I use for my prayer shawls. I was told of a site for wooden Tunisian hooks, www.MoEzHooks.com. They have various sizes, even the 1/2 inch diameter hooks I like.

Ray Eisenstein, yes Clover makes some really great products also many other sewing notions as well that I have tried and loved. I am leaning towards the Denise set because they always get good reviews Leslie Prest, and Charlene King, how do you like the cable attachments on those brands? I have to say though I imagine the wooden ones like Abbey Bongers and Lisa Ann Hurley, and Anita Kirschner have mentioned are very smooth and the yarn glides easily. Also Lisa Ann Hurley, if you have any info about the spindles let me know, I researched wheels awhile back and came across the spindles it seems to me they weren't as pricey. Thanks for the info ALL and the links love all the responses and reviews you've shared with me!!
Leona A. replied:
Charlene King. I like the Denise set, but I wasn't aware of longer hooks. Will have to investigate.
Ok, serious question for my fellow bookworms: Anyone have recs for a cute purse/bag that can hold books safely & shield them from PNW rain?
BookBear replied:
haha. True that. If you use leather I'd recommend https://www.twitter.com/hidesignhq if it's available there. Their "official" bags are perfect for books
