Hello! Looking for a great pediatric allergist for my children. They have chronic nasal congestion, and need some advice. Thanks
Barbara R. replied:
Dr. John Rusher is a great Pediatric Doctor and has helped my child so much...he use to be a lawyer and decided to become a children's doctor 919-872-0250
Erin T. replied:
Dr Esa Bloeden is an ENT and he's awesome. Used to be at wake med but I believe he's at rex wakefield now.
Dr. Brown is at Raleigh ear nose and Throat on Anderson Drive in Raleigh. She is wonderful. When I recommended dr. Rusher...I did not stop to think about the nose thing...he could probably do that but he is our pediatrian. Dr. brown is our ENT dr.

Dr. Judge at Allergy, Asthma & sinus. We took my son to allergy partners first and did not have a good experience. We've now been with Dr. Judge a year and i go weekly for injections.
Song B. replied:
Dr Judge is on main street in wf across from Sonic. Love him too, the staff is very nice and rarely a wait for injections.
Shannon C. replied:
Been following this cause we need one too! Dr. Judge will get a call from us too! Thx community
Hannah B. replied:
Hmmm, that is interesting. I took my daughter when she was only 6 months old and Dr. Judge and the nurses were all very compassionate and kind. She was tested with what they call the pediatric panel (which included a number of nut allergies). It is ab out 15+ pricks but they are done very quickly and she stopped crying in just a minute or 2, at most. My son disnt even hardly flinch (age 4) when he had the same panels done. Kids cry with shots and finger pricks so naturally they will cry or get upset when they are that little and something pokes them in their back. They do all the tests to determine if there are other typical allergies that your child may be dealing with, that you aren't aware of. We found out a number of things early on that we were glad we could deal with quickly and safely.
Hannah B. replied:
Hillary, my daughter also has a dairy allergy (among others) and Dr. Judge has helped us work through it. She now can have baked goods with dairy:) Based on her last test, he said we could try a spoon of yogurt to see how she does. I haven't been brav e enough to try ;) Not telling you to try these things, at all, but I feel like if you tell him your experience and ask for what you can do he will give you some practical advice. He did for us.

Dr. Dunn and Carolina Allergy and Asthma in Raleigh.
Deanna M. replied:
Raleigh ENT is good. I was seeing another allergist and continued to react to the shots. I later switched to raleigh ENT only to learn I was allergic to the sera in the shots. Raleigh ENT was able to help me reach maintenance on my allergy shots with limited reactions.

Dr. Mankud with Allergy Partners of Raleigh is amazing!
Lara K. replied:
I second Dr. Mankad with Allergy Partners - I've been going to her for 6 years (allergy shots) and have taken both of my children there. She is extremely thorough, asks great questions, LISTENS, and is just one of the most amazing doctors I've ever met.

We go to Dr. Judge and have been seeing him for three years. We are happy with him.
Cynthia M. replied:
I've been to Dr. Judge for allergy shots probably 4 years. He noticed I was coughing in the mornings and totally picked up on something other Drs hadn't and helped me. He's a little hard to understand, but I just try to keep focused or ask him to repeat things. I haven't ever felt he didn't know what he was doing.
