Dawn Backman in Bloomingdale is well worth the drive. I've been going to allergy doctors for 15 years and none of them could figure out what was wrong with me. I must have seen at least 4 different doctors not including my trip to the ER. I gave up and stopped going to allergy doctors until I needed to take my sons to get tested. Dawn was so good and educational with them that I decided to set up an appointment for myself. I wish I found her 15 years ago. She has changed my life. And she did so without trying to sell me on weekly shots or any other things that doctors sell to keep their businesses going.

Dr Bajawola at Kaneland Allergy. She does oral immunotherapy for food allergies. One of only two in Illinois that I'm aware of. My once anaphalactic son is now eating peanuts thanks to her. We have a long list of medical specialists since my son is a pediatric cancer survivor. While I don't have a specific pulmonologist (I have cardiology, oncology, endocrinology, and dermatology) I can say this .... We have been to multiple hospitals around the area and there is no comparison to the care and compassion you will receive at Lurie Children's Hospital. I would definitely seek out a specialist who works with Lurie.

I took my daughter to Dr. Sakina S. Bajowala in North Aurora. We only saw her a few times as it was an eczema issue but I thought she was wonderful. I'm not sure if she pediatric but I remember having a lot of children as patients.
