Dr. Hrdlicka in Geneva is the only Dr locally that I have heard from multiple people will keep trying to find the cause instead of just treating your symptoms. I do not use him personally, but when you reach that point, I have heard he is the answer!

My husband recently had to change doctors and has been seeing Dr. Thakkur(s) at Westgate family medicine. I must say they are very responsive and when you have tests done the doctors call you personally the same day (if they can) we the results. He is currently having stomach issues and yes she did prescribe a meds to help the symptoms but has also referred him to a gastro doctor who she feel will not quit until he has an answer. He has only been their for a couple of months but so far I am impressed.

I third Dr. William Epperly at Advanced Integrative Medicine in Bloomingdale. He takes about an hour a visit. Also, very knowledgable about hypothyroidism and allergies. I love Anjitha and Sherin, his PA and nurse practitioner. He finally treated me for hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's Thyroiditis after 5 doctors refused.

Dr. Gina Song of TLC Medical Group in St. Charles. She is a private practice and works with all hospitals (they just have to forward her notes, her staff is great at taking care of it). She has seen my 2 year old daughter since she was released from the NICU at CDH when she was 1 week old. I can't say enough great things about her and her staff.

Dr Jenny, Dr Chris and Dr. Nayarra from Dupage medical group are all great. They take their time and someone is always on call. Been there with my 4 for over 13 years.

Dr.Betti is a great pediatrician and he is affiliated with CDH.

Dr. James Carsten (Family doctor) love him. He comes down to check on you and baby after you deliver before he starts his shift if you deliver at CDH his office is on the 5 th floor there. Have had him for over 15 years!

What are you looking for in a pediatrician? If you're looking for a more naturalistic approach (though she'll also go the medicinal route) then Dr Schening with Next Generation Pediatrics in South Elgin is phenomenal.

We live in St. Charles as well, but Dr. Rubin from Naperville Pediatrics has taken care of me since I was 10 months old, and we have always had wonderful experiences with the staff. The nurses and doctors are great with children. About a 30 minute drive from here but well worth it!

I just moved to the area too and we have started seeing Dr Smith at Dreyer. My kids have a number of medical issues so we have seen her a number of times already and all of the visits have been great. Easy to make appts, the appts were on time and both Dr Smith and her staff have been very nice, knowledgeable and did not rush us to leave.

Dr. Tapas with Cadence is fantastic. My kids love him, we love him. His staff is great and he's hardley every late!

Glen Ellen Pediatrics (under Dupage Medical Group) is fantastic. 4 locations, Naperville Wheaton Bloomingdale and Glen Ellen. A little bit of a drive but they have 8 or 9 Drs and they are all tremendous and they have night and weekend hours. Open eveyday of the year except for like 2 or 3 days. Even on sundays for sick appts. We went to them when we lived in Naperville and now live on the west side of STC and I will not give them up. Excellent care and they DONT push anti biotics and will listen to what you as the parent wants/needs.

Dr. Fang he was my pediatrician from elgin. Do your own research not alot of Saint Charles pediatrician are great my mom had to change alot of my doctors until we found my former doctor. Dr. Henry Fang was great I've haven't seen him for awhile since I aged out but you should try him.

Mary Mikhailov at CDH is amazing. She diagnosed my baby over the phone at 2AM without seeing him. He had already been in to see 3 other peds that could not figure out what was wrong with him. I have been with her for 11 years with all 3 of my kids. 2 have rare diseases and health issues and she has been just wonderful. She also has been there long enough that she has lots of connections should you need to get into a specialist. She can often fast track you.

We love Dr. Chris Rejdukowski, too. Not sure of spelling. Something else to keep in mind: If you are having a girl, eventually she may feel more comfortable with a female doctor and vice versa.

I use DuPage Medical Group but with the doctors that rotate among the Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Bloomingdale and Naperville locations. I've been with them for 16 years and have gotten in same day every single time. I know it's not terribly local but I was with them before I moved here and never switched because I am so happy with them.

We used Dr. Cocjin formerly with Fox Valley Women & Children; which is now Dreyer on the West side of town - 64 near Peck Rd.

St Family Med on 17 th St and 64. We all see Dr Scurlock (I have seen him for 20 years now) but Dr Link and Rivera are also great. Their new Dr Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) is great too.
