Several years back I was given a terrifying diagnosis and went to Dr. Kachy at Duke Raleigh. She is a women's heart specialist. Dr. James Mills - Duke Cardiology of Raleigh. I first met Dr. Mills a little over a month ago when my 87 year old father was at Duke Raleigh Hospital to have an angiogram. We just happened to get him and so blessed that we did. I found him to be intelligent, personable, compassionate, attentive, patient and thorough. He also explained my father's very complicated situation in a way that was easy to understand, which was most helpful, especially since my father is 1) very hard of hearing and 2) had never had any heart problems, nor any other health problems prior to this day - we were really taken by surprise. My father ended up being transferred that day to Duke University Hospital and placed under the care of another cardiologist which turned into a two week stay including bypass surgery and a surgical team. Being transferred should have been the end of our relationship with Dr. Mills, but Dr. Mills had different plans. From that day on he made himself a part of my dad's team - communicating daily with the pre-op cardiologist, surgeon and post-op cardiologist. He even came to visit my dad in the hospital the night before his surgery to check in and give him (and us) a pep talk! He went above and beyond. My daughter has seen Elman Frantz since birth. He and his partners are fantastic. Carolina Children's Cardiology. They have offices at WakeMed, in Cary and at UNC Childrens.

Dr Milazzo at the WakeMed Duke Children's clinic across from WakeMed. He's very knowledgeable yet very kind and gentle. Our favorite doctor and you can tell his staff enjoy working with him. He also gives his personal cell for emergencies. Can't say enough good things!

Baillard & Henry Pediatric Cardiology. My son who is now 15 months has seen Dr. Henry since birth for a heart murmur. I don't think out of both of my two kids (who were both preemies with lots of issues between the two) I have ever met a better pediatric doctor. I absolutely love him. He is located close to Rex Hopsital in Raleigh off of Lake Boone Trail. Like I seriously owe him my life. He listened to a concern I had that didn't even have to do with cardiology. He looked it up and even explained what it was.

I just saw Dr. Deepak Pasi + him and his NP were wonderful and still following through with my condition! I posted something similar before and Dr. Zidar + Kronenberg were also recommended. They're all in the same practice I believe! Good luck!

Dr Zidar is absolutely the best, bar none, from my perspective. Has an office right here in WF at the Rex facility. Mubarak (sp), is also a very good Cardiologist, not sure if he is in the same group or not.
