Does anyone know of any vlogs that deal with museums or cultural institutions?

The Brain Scoop (http://www.fieldmuseum.org/science/blog/brain-scoop) is probably the most famous but I'm sure there are tons of others. A quick Google search seems to bring up options from the Whitney and the British Museum, among others.

Looking for local ( greater DC) networking opportunities in the curatorial/education fields for museum professionals. I would appreciate any suggestions.

So the imperial war museum is closed until july, which kind of blows my plans in London for the day. Alternative suggestions?
Charlotte W. replied:
If you do Marylebone High St, highly recommend Paul Rothe & Sons for lunch. OG deli with sausage sandwiches.

Drinking w Merici Vinton is my favorite London attraction.
Kelsey S. replied:
I will second the Churchill War Rooms! Or also check out The Globe Theater!
Erica F. replied:
I second Borough Market! On a day like today, a stroll around Primrose Hill and Marylebone High Street also is ideal. There is a stellar cheese shop (a giant walk-in refrigerator of cheese) off the High Street called La Fromagerie and the Wallace Collection is nearby. If you don't mind being inside, there is a Vikings exhibit at the British Museum. OR if you just want to drink go to Duke's for a Vesper Martini (and act like James Bond). Wish I could be out there with you!
Adam C. replied:
Ashley De Smeth, obviously.
Adam C. replied:
Colm Doyle, that's my plan for tonight although Sir. Richard Allan is out of town.

If you have a hankering for WWII history, go to https://www.facebook.com/rafmuseum

Adam C. replied:
So an update here, I should note I studied abroad here in London and so have been to most of the museums. So I ate at my favorite fish and chips place, Gigs, and then went to the Churchill War Rooms, and then had drinks with Rosa Birch, Merici Vinton, and Aaron Banks. So not a bad day at all.

Equestrian boots! Or Stacy Adams has options that work with a period silhouette and they are reasonably priced, plus you can always find discounts. Those were our budget back ups in the theatre world.

The last time I went to the Museum of Science, we did dinner at Similans on First Street, not a long walk.

ArtBar or dante are decent options, especially if the weather's nice. There's also Helmand or Similans if you want to go ethnic. Bambara is supposed to be good as well, although I've never been.

Shabu & Mein is another option. It's a 5-10 minute walk. Their ramen is very good, but I've never tried the shabu.
Craigglesofdoom replied:
If you're willing to walk a little further, Cambridge Brewing Co is about a 20-30 minute walk.
