We got a second opinion with Dr. Enyedi and she gave the same treatment plan as Dr. Board. She agreed with everything he was doing for our son, Kyle.

Duke Eye Center in Durham has a really great pediatric team. For my daughter's eyes which have Cerulean cataracts, they have been absolutely wonderful.

Dr. Board at the Raleigh Eye Center behind Duke Raleigh. He's not the most personable, but he knows what he's doing. He just did surgery on my daughter's eyes and I wouldn't trust anyone else!

AGREE on Eye Care Associates... Glad to hear we aren't the only ones! AWFUL and hubby couldn't see w/glasses and the told him he could... had cataracts and went to another eye dr. and the lady signing him in even could see them and said that is why you can't see - REALLY? After over a year of frustration... Never again!

I was with Dr. McPherson when he was with another establishment and followed him when he went out on his own. He is absolutely wonderful - professional, friendly and attentive. I never feel rushed. I have T1Diabetes and he does medical exams on my eyes as well. I trust him with my eyesight.

I agree with the recommendations for North Wake Eye Care...just took my 3 kids there for the first time on Tuesday and we had an great experience! Super professional, friendly and great with the kids! (Ages 7, 12 and 14). Great selection of frames-their glasses just came in today! Very impressed.

Heritage Eye care has been my go to for years. They just added a new Dr who is really fun, I imagine she'd hit it off with a younger patient. Dr Luu is her name.

Exceptional Service and care - I've had a lot of work done over the years and have always felt like I was in good hands with her. The entire staff is super friendly and welcoming ... you just won't find a nice grouping of people. My kids don't go there (only b/c we have a history with their pediatric dentist, who we were with before we met Dr. Quintana), but I have several friends whose kids see her and they have been very happy with their care. I've also have heard how children were treated while there for my appointments and have only observed kindness and patience.

For dental, I recommend Triangle Family Dentistry. We have had great experiences there with both ourselves and our children. For eye care, Dr. Merckle and staff at North Wake Eye Care in Rolesville are phenomenal. Their service is top notch, I love that they offer the optomap imaging so you don't have to do dilation. Dr. Merckle also really proactive in treating my youngest daughter's vision problems and her vision decline has slowed down significantly as a result. They are great!

They told me that they would do an eye exam for $99/cash price. We really like it there. My husband got an exam last year & used a mail order company for his glasses. They were fine & less expensive than mine. I need glasses all the time, so I got a few extras. (The $99 is for the eye exam only.)

We also have VSP and loved Dr Hanna at Eye Care Center in WF. The entire facility was top notch with my daughter.

My Eye Dr has several locations in Wake Forest. Dr Jason Price is in the South Main (Capcom dr) location and is very good. My children have been to see him for many years. There is also a location in Wakefield commons and Dr Michael Peters is great as well.

After my recent experience with my daughter, I've learned vision is so much more than just sight. I whole-heartedly suggest finding a member of the COVD for a truly comprehensive exam. I take my children to Dr. Susan Durham at Brier Creek Vision Care. The whole staff there is fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about that office and how they've helped. Dr. Freedman! She's THE BEST! Others said my daughter needed surgery. Took her to Dr. Freedman 15 years ago, for a 2 nd opinion, she's been seeing better than ever with NO surgery! My son goes there as well.

Good question. We went to Dr Board and he was not very patient with my son! We got the glasses we needed but wish our experience had been less traumatizing!

Dr. Board touched my child without warning or approval from me or my child. Scary when it's your eyes. He spent less than 5 minutes with us after waiting an hour. Most concerning, he missed a major diagnosis. Our Pediatrician who referred us actually encourages us to seek a second opinion bc he knew he was wrong. After going to the Duke practice in Raleigh, I can say the exams were much more thorough. He missed something major bc he could care less with spending the time with us.

My son went to Dr Board for 14 years and we both loved him. My son is legally blind without glasses/contacts. He spent a lot of time with us. Even saw us on a Saturday morning for emergency visit when son got shot in eye by pellet gun. I'm a nurse and never had any problem and would be first to complain.

Just called Dr. Jordan's office they would not see us., because my daughter is adopted and I could not tell them if she was premature or not..just made appt with Dr.Munz..thank you Michelle.

Dr Dahringer at Carolina Cataract and Laser on Falls of Neuse. He did both of mine one in September and one in October. Staff is great and efficient. Dr D is very patient and nice. Highly recommend him.

Dr Patrick Laber@Raleigh Ophthalmology or Dr Boehkle at Duke Eye Center. They are two of the best in the area and who the doctors I work for always refer to. They usually book out about a month for consultation.

I just had this done by Dr Gupta at the Duke Eye Center. Great doc with patience and knowledge. I had complications going in and she was great in handling them and my concerns. I am seeing so well now! Highly recommend her and her staff! My ophthalmologist sent me there because he felt they could best handle the risks.

Depends on what for- for cataracts Dr Kelly at Kelly Eye Center is awesome. For issues in the retina (like retinal detachment, macular degeneration, etc), Dr Thordsen at NC Retina. But optometrists like Advanced Optometry Center can do all medical exams they just can't do surgery.
