I would think most of the specialists are adults unless your doctor is Doogie Howser. All jokes aside, if you visit the information desk at Northside Hospital or others, they should give you a packet of all specialists in your area for free. Call a few to see if you like them.

You must, must, must call Dr. Connie Holliman. I assure you that you will be glad you did. Please tell her I sent you. My daughter has seen her 5 times and I'm pretty sure that she's the best counselor ever. 770.906.8734. For psychiatrist - We see Dr. Martha Little. Very, very thorough. Straight to the point and her admin is wonderful, too! 770.772.0909.
Recommendations please - Does anyone know a great psychiatrist (not psychologist) for depression and anxiety in young adults who is taking new patients?
Thanks!

Exercise works wonders for depression. Nutrition is another thing to look at. Psychiatrists are more likely to prescribe medications, and you might want to learn a little more before going to meds. The military won't even take people who are on anti-depressants for at least a year of getting off them. 90% of school shootings are linked to psych meds. http://www.wnd.com/2012/12/psych-meds-linked-to-90-of-school-shootings/
