Anyone have a recommendation for a Sports Medicine focused PT in Rainier Valley or Beacon Hill? I really like the PT's at Real Rehab, but the drive up to North Seattle...
Kathy B. replied:
This isn't the area you asked for, but I recently finished up a round of PT at UW Sports Medicine - at Husky Stadium - with Sarah Gustafson. Straight shot up 23 rd/Montlake, and she was awesome!
Cindy N. replied:
Elizabeth Rogers!

I second Mike Ross, he is amazing. He doesn't get a lot of repeat business because he fixes people and they don't have to go back for treatment 4 times a month like some. My wife went there for a nagging knee issue before running a marathon, she hasn't had a issue since. That was 2-3 years ago. I also send all my athletes there when they have sport related injuries.

Eric Norwood, Renew Physical Therapy.
Rhonda B. replied:
We like Columbia Physical Therapy.
Nina B. replied:
I'm seeing this late but the PT across the street from Franklin high is great. Dr Clayton 3207 Rainier Ave S Seattle, WA, 98144 (206) 722-2205.
John H. replied:
I second David McGraw.
Rachel R. replied:
Renew Physical Therapy is the best. The owner, Erik Norwood; is great at his craft and being an athlete himself he understands the nuances of sports related injuries.
Sooo....anyone know a good sports medicine doc that can tell me why it hurts so much to bend my knee? Someone who takes Regence Blue Shield would be a bonus. Thanks!

Yes, Ben, they take that insurance... that's what I used to have and now I have Blue Shield/Blue Cross. Sports Medicine Clinic is part of UW now I believe. So I believe they take more insurance than you can imagine. (I had a super unknown one a few months back and they took it too) Regence Blue Shield- you are on good hands!

Nicki M. replied:
Mark Harrast at UW Sports Medicine in the new clinic at Husky Stadium. He is a distance runner and Medical Director for the Seattle Marathon. Great guy. And they take Regence.

Dr. Maxine Weyant - First Hill (Orthopedics International). She's a great general ortho - sees the big picture and helps find the right people while managing your care. If you see her, let me know. I'll give you a few tips.
Kristen B. replied:
Henry Lu at Velocity Physiotherapy in Fremont is AMAZING. He has helped me with injuries that stumped other doctors, PT's, massage therapists and sports medicine doctors. He works on PNB dancer and really knows his stuff.
Does anyone know of a good sports medicine doctor? Danny took a bad fall while snowboarding and had a nice, long visit at the ER yesterday. It's either a very bad ankle...

For a specialist Dr Mankey is excellent in anything foot and ankle related. Can't think of a sports med guy at this moment. Ouch. I hope it heals quickly.

Michael Sailer in Bellevue, so sorry to hear, those are no fun
Lynnette C. replied:
Dr Seidner is in with Mankey at Orthopedic Physicians and I've heard good things about him.

Yes, Dr. Cristian Peterson in Seattle. I think at the clinic Wendy recommended. Did a great job recently with a tear in Chris's shoulder.
Anyone in the Arlington/Stanwood/Smokey Point area know of a goods sports doctor? Thinking Jake may have a hairline fracture in his shins, which needs to be checked out.
Crane S. replied:
A friend in Arlington says Dr. Story at the Sports Clinic at Northgate in Seattle - and says it's worth the drive.
Pamela D. replied:
We really like Jared Anderson at the Everett Clinic in Smokey Point. He is Jillian's sports doctor (she injured her ankle - two fractures). Joe and I also see him for sport issues. He can do manipulations like a chiropractor as well and is great with physical therapy instructions.
So apparently I'm a grown up now, like with health insurance and everything. This means I can finally (and really should) go to a doctor to get this nagging knee pain...

Dr. John Robertson at OPA Ortho is my go-to guy. 206.694.6640
Hannah S. replied:
Well, he's not in Seattle, but on the eastside- Dr.Robin Fuchs. He put back together my severely broken ankle AND my torn meniscus. After which I went back to jousting... Anyway, he was the BEST sports ortho!
