Midwest Allergy and Asthma is on 168 th and Francis. Very close to Village Point and good doctors and service.

Someone mentioned Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Associates. I second them. I went to Dr. Friedlander there, and have had nothing but positive experiences.

It is not within your area, the travel is worth it. Dr James Tracy at Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Associates changed my brothers life. This is no exaggeration. My brother has a lot of complications with severe allergies, of all sort, and severe asthma with many triggers including his allergies . We had been to multiple allergists in the area, some put him in the hospital with their attempts to treat. Doctor Tracy took him from almost a shut-in, unable to attend school regularly due to his asthma/allergies, to a next to normal quality of life with everything under control but closely monitored. This was years ago, now, but i would still highly recommend him.

Not quite what you asked for, but I would recommend NOT seeing Dr. Kevin Murphy at Boys Town. I saw him once and he just wasn't great.

I went to Dr. Bewtra at Creighton. Not sure if he's still at St. Joe or what.

When I was still living in Omaha, I went to Dr. Duff at Mid America Ear, Nose, and Throat. I had awful reactions to basically all of the typical indoor and outdoor allergens and my IgE level was something like 10x what it should be. My ragweed reaction to the lowest doses during the testing was literally off the charts. I still have a copy of the results and the nurse doing the testing had to put "12+" for it. They also had to stop the testing early because I was reacting so badly to the weakest doses for testing. Dr. Duff put me on allergy shots and let me administer them myself after the initial round. That alone was nice because it meant not having to go to the clinic 2x a week. It took 5 years of the shots to get me to a good place, but it was definitely worth it. Before the shots, I would be miserable if I forgot to take my meds, but now it's not a big deal if I forget. I take a decongestant and an antihistamine daily. I don't have to use the decongestant, but I feel better taking it (plus Flonase went otc, so it's not expensive anymore).

I've been going to Dr. Roger Kobayashi since I was nine...(yes, that would be 20 years now!!) at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Luke also goes there for his allergies - he's had them since he was 3 months old. Wow! That's awesome that he is so good! I spent $75 in the ER on Sat bc I woke up and I had hives on my eyelids:/ The pharmacist I talked with recommended I went in. I'm excited to go see Dr. Hopp! I bet it is hard for you to eat now Mikaela Miller Wolf if you are allergic to preservatives. Those are in everything it seems like!

Well I've got my appt scheduled with Dr. Hopp! But not until Aug 28 th. That was their first available:( Mikaela Miller Wolf, did you ever see a dermatologist for your hives? I was thinking about seeing one until I can get into the allergist. That's a long time to wait with hives all over my body!

Dr Hopp is who I went after almost a year with vascular hives and several specialists. He is actually at Jennie Edmundson in CB, IA but he was the only specialist to listen before handing out drugs.

I got this Dr's name from No Name Nutrition - apparently he does/prefers natural-based approaches. William Ingram, MD, PC. www.dringramomaha.com I have not actually seen him yet - just got the name a few days ago.

If you are concerned about IgE food allergies, I recommend Midwest Allergy and Asthma Clinic out at Lakeside. If you are concerned about other food allergies/sensitivities, I would recommend a more natural-minded doctor. They will test for IgG and IgA food allergies. We saw Dr. Mallory at Rupp Chiropractic for an allergy test that tested for 96 different foods (for me), but we have seen them for my very shy daughter as well and she loves them. Even at 2, any time we pass the office, she points and says, "That's the cool doctor."

Rupp Chiropractic & Advanced Nutrition - Dr. Mallory Rupp can do all the allergy testing you would need. I personally have seen Dr. Ingram, Dr Hopp and also have been to Midwest Allergy and Asthma Clinic at Lakeside and the only one I would see again is Dr. Ingram though I am not sure he is really good for toddlers. ~Katie

We saw Dr Hopp and was not impressed, I have had tons of recommendations for midwest allergy, that is where I am planning to take my daughter to instead of Dr Hopp.

Not an allergist but Rupp Chiropractic & Advanced Nutrition is awesome especially with kids. We are working with them right now with some possible food allergy issues with our 4 month old.

I would try chiropractic and acupuncture. We see Dr. Corey on 132 nd and B. My family has lots of allergies and 6 of us have been able to go off meds:)

Dr. Hopp out of Creighton is the BEST allergist! After years of my own problems he took me on as a patient and was the only dr to listen, explain and help me. He is a pedatric allergist who knows his stuff, stays on top of current studies and will explain things so you feel comfortable with all treatments and diagnosis.

My son saw Dr Thomas Nilsson too. I was pleased.

Dr Duff at Mid-America ear, nose, and, throat on the Bergan Mercy campus. I went to him for several years after her recommended that I do allergy shots. He's good about explaining your options and likes to give out samples of a new med to try out.

Have you talked to your GP, preferrably within the UNMC network? They're usually the first step in being referred to a specialist, and you have to go this route with your health insurance anyway. I was referred to the ENT & Allergy Clinic at UNMC and have a whole raft of tests coming up.

She should consider trying a spray like Flonase or Nasonex. Makes a huge difference for my allergies.

Dr. Tracy was a pediatrician before becoming an allergist!! He changed our son's life so much!! We have been seeing him for 3 years now.

The one out by Lakeside is great. Got us right in. I didn't like Dr. Hopp's bedside manner. And it took over a month to get in there.

Boystown has nice ones. We saw Dr. Murphy I think it was.

I took my daughter to Dr Roger Kobayashi. He was very good with her. My daughter was one of the lucky few that outgrew it. But he was very thorough, and did bloodwork AND and a timed oral challenge to confirm when she outgrew.

I'm clearly biased, as you can see by my last name, but I'd recommend Dr. Friedlander.:)

Our son has seen Dr Hopp at children's. He's quick but felt like he was thorough.

We really like Dr. Shakir at Midwest Allergy. He listened and was helpful with my son's unusual allergies. (On the other hand, I had a terrible visit with Dr. Hopp. Felt like he talked down to me the whole time and didn't listen.)

I didn't like Dr. Hopp at all. He didn't listen to me and told me what was happening with my son wasn't possible. Just dismissed the whole reason I was there. Loved Dr. Shakir at Midwest Allergy.

She's not in Omaha but we just went and saw Dr. Molis in Des Moines and she is great! Very personable and knowledgable. I have a 1 year old with food allergies and also myself. She does de-sensitizing and is nationally known.

My son sees Dr. Tracy. We think he's great. Our previous allergist pushed a lot of meds that i did not feel comfortable giving him, and Dr. Tracy was a bit more conservative with meds. We've been going to him for 3 years...

Dr. Nikki Nair at the Boys Town allergy clinic. She is a fan of meds but if you talk to her about what you are comfortable with, she's pretty open to it.

I used to see Dr. Kettlehut and he's nice but very pushy with flu shots and meds in general. I have asthma sometimes and he wanted me on meds all the time for it which I didn't feel comfortable with. My kids saw Dr. Jaine Brownell at Midwest Allergy & Asthma Clinic. Ds' allergies and asthma were out of control, and she got him under control on the first try without shots while trying to put him on the fewest meds possible.

Dianne I love Dr Braddock but I can tell you that she is wrong. Both of my kids have had eczema and it only flairs up when they eat the food they are allergic to.

Dr Nelson@Midwest Allergy and Asthma comes highly recommended, he works with peds.

My son has terrible eczema on his face. He is 18 months old and has had it since about 2 months old. We have been seeing the dermatologist, Dr. Braddock, for awhile now. She told me that they have proven that food is not a culprit when it comes to eczema and causing flair ups. The main factor is anything that affects his immune system, so colds, viruses, even teething. And from what we have been experiencing, it seems true. Food does not seem to be effecting it. But he's had a bad cold this week and his face has been a total mess. We are also getting ready to have him see an allergist. I have severe air-borne allergies and can tell he probably has them as well.:-(. Guess this doesn't help with your question....just more of a "we're going through the same thing" reply.

We have seen Dr. Russell Hopp at Children's Hospital. He's good, but not really natural-minded. Thinking of switching to Dr. Shakir, since I've heard LOTS of people recommend him.
